Everybody draws the line somewhere, high fence, low fence, private, public, gun, bow, modern, primitive, box stand, lock on, stalk, bait, etc......we all don’t have to like the same stuff, just stay safe, legal and ethical and to each his own

If it’s legal I have no issues with how anyone hunts or what they shoot. The infighting among hunters does no one any good. People need to hunt the way they want and mind their business as to how others do it.

I may throw a couple handfuls of soybean on the ground later on in the season when everything is flooded and I can’t see any sign.

I can sit there all day and might have a deer on them beans for a whole 3 minutes.

Suck it.

Pay the taxes, cut the tress, pick up the stands and clean em, fix my roads, keep an eye on shite, then question my hunting tactics.

Did you make your own bow and arrows?

I hunt my land where I put out corn and have tons of oak trees. I kill some nice deer.

I also hunt a public area that has great deer but no baiting and no cameras.

I take more satisfaction from taking a nice deer at the latter.

Do y'all think the earliest hunters sat around and argued about which spears are the best like we do about rifles? I'd like to think yes.

Depends where you hunt also. Come down here to South Texas where it’s one gigantic thicket and see how successful you can be without pulling them in with feeding.

Seems like a lot of work when you could just get some beef at the store then?

Because dumping corn along a shooting lane and ringing the dinner bell is a challenge?

If there were a shortage of deer maybe this would be a valid conversation. But there's no shortage.

Here's a challenge: Go grab some white hairs off a deer in the wild with your bare hands and video it. I'll keep hunting the way I have been for decades.

I'm not bragging on anything. I haven't been lucky enough to kill a monster buck yet, but one day I will. I've killed plenty of 8pts that others would mount. I cut the horns off and most of the time they get thrown away.

I killed a 6pt this year. Shot him in the neck as he was going in the woods. That was my meat for the year. I could have shot my doe. I let her walk. I left the horns on him and he went in the gut pile.

Don't talk about how others hunt. Do your own thing.

Forget the hunting house and rifle and climb a tree and use a bow. That’s the way to hunt.
