And Social Distancing is # 2 to stop the spread.

Isn’t it that in reverse??? Do any of the reporters ask for clarification.

Isn’t the best way to control the spread staying away from other people? At least that is what we have been told from the beginning. Seems to me telling people masks are most important is misleading at best but dangerous at worst.

Having people think a mask is some sort of magic defense against COVID is just wrong. It may help some but according to recent studies, most who have contracted are regular mask wearers.

Good question. It’s been a long time since someone had brought up a mask topic on this board.

From what I gather most of your media over there are just mouth pieces for JBE and Latoya and just take what they say and preach it as gospel.

It has been nearly as long since you have shamed us all for not being as diligent as you with our mask wearing.

Yes. It has always been to stay away from each other. And if you can't, wear a mask.

If they're the most important thing then why do we need another shut down?

If they're the most important thing, then why do a majority of new cases report being diligent mask wearers?

This frickstick is power drunk.

Its been a rough few weeks for the masketeers.

The Danish study showed almost no difference compared to not wearing mask (and the Danish study likely OVERSTATED the effectiveness of masks, because they gave the participants 50 clean surgical masks, not the dogshit we have been wearing). LINK

The newly released study of asymptomatic carriers revealed NO transmission. 300 asymptomatic cases were identified. There were no positive tests amongst 1,174 close contacts of asymptomatic cases. LINK

Asymptomatic transmission is the foundation of mask mandates. There is no asymptomatic transmission.

Take it easy on the masketeers. They have a tough hill to climb to continue supporting this.

The mask mandate is, at most, grounds for plausible deniability by government officials when the cases spike. In other words, they will just baselessly blame any rises in cases on people not wearing masks.

Absolutely. Cases go up, its our fault for not doing our part.

Cases go down, its only because our betters in the government knew what was best for us.

I'm certain we'll be having these same conversations a year from now, even with the vaccine. It'll be "not enough of you are getting vaccinated. So we'll stay in Phase 2 for another 6 weeks."

I am not, repeat AM NOT, advocating violence.

But I am seriously surprised JBE and or any other guv or mayor hasn't been attacked or been spit upon or accosted or had a pie in their face yet.

Saban has Covid.
Saban wears a mask.
Saban has everyone around him tested for Covid constantly, and anyone that tests positive quarantined, as well as anyone that came in contact with that positive test.
Saban has Covid.

If he can get it with all those protections, then what the hell are we doing?

The mask is a placebo. It makes people feel like they are doing "something" to protect themselves and combat the virus. It's purely psychological. This is an airborne virus. People will catch it. And almost everyone who does catch it will be just fine.
