Has anyone mentioned Ambrosia? Do many people have it for holiday meals?

Get some sour cream and onion chips with some dip, man, some beef jerky, some peanut butter. Get some Häagen-Dazs ice cream bars, a whole lot, make sure chocolate, gotta have chocolate, man. Some popcorn, red popcorn, graham crackers, graham crackers with marshmallows, the little marshmallows and little chocolate bars and we can make s'mores, man. Also, celery, grape jelly, Cap'n Crunch with the little Crunch berries, pizzas. We need two big pizzas, man, everything on 'em, with water, whole lotta water, and Funyons.

We've had sausage balls every Christmas morning for most of my life. I can hurt myself eating those things.

Mixing this right now. Used a whole block of cream cheese though. Didn’t pay attention. We shall see what difference it makes. Thanks
Probably will need a little more bisquick, but not much. They should kinda stick to your hands when rolling, but not feel wet really. The sausage/cheese/bisquick ratio is the biggest thing between good and bad imo.

I'm starting to think this may be a Valley thing.

FWIW I use Southern Biscuit Formula L™ and it is superior to Bisquick IYAM

Recipe that uses Red Lobster biscuit mix instead of Bisquick
Interesting, probably be good.
I just know mine come out looking like that.
If they are too bready they look like this and are nowhere near as good.

I always thought it was just our family, but I've heard quite a few others do it as well. You may be on to something.
I will have to give the Red Lobster biscuit ones a shot.

Funny story about sausage balls... first time I made them I followed a recipe and they sucked cause they were bready and took forever to mix in the bisquick.
Then I watched my mom make them (she always just guessed at amounts) and I realized she was just lazy and wouldnt put in so much bisquick cause it was hard to mix it all in. My mom's lazy cooking turned out to be the key to me coming up with those amounts in that recipe. Lol

Yes that is how I got it correct also. It started getting too thick before I added all the bisquick so I stopped adding it because I didn't want it to be biscuits.

My MIL makes a blueberry salad. Pretty sure there are no fresh blueberries. It’s gross but they all pretend to love it.

I've never used a dip with sausage balls but white Gravy sounds pretty good. Not so sure about ketchup or honey mustard though.

Benedictine sandwiches, oyster casserole and banana croquettes.

I’ve never dipped them in anything
White gravy sounds good, I can feel myself getting fatter just thinking about it
