“So I’m going to be blunt, I’m so over it. I’m so over living in a dictatorship we call Michigan. I understand there’s a pandemic, and I understand it’s very scary. I’m scared of it too. If you are at risk, do not leave your house until there’s a vaccine. But shutting down all these small businesses, things that people have worked their life for, shutting them down again is not the answer. Because they will not make it.

“So once we are able to leave our house, once this dictatorship decides to let us have some freedom, there will be nothing left. I’m just over it. I see all these people and it brings me to tears.

“And believe me, I know there’s people out there that are stating, ‘That’s really ignorant of you. How could you say that?’ Listen, I know not everybody is going to agree with me. Not everybody is going to agree with my every move I make. That’s life, OK. We state our opinions, we move on. This is my opinion.

“I feel for these small businesses. I feel for — It’s not that I don’t feel for the people who have COVID, or the hospitals. I do. But this is my opinion. I do not like living in a place where they tell me what I can and cannot do. I live once. Again, this is my opinion. You have yours. Everyone has their own. And we chalk it up to that.”

Michigan implemented new rules to curb spread of COVID-19

Stafford’s rant comes days after Michigan officials announced stricter COVID-19 regulations in an attempt to stop the spread of the virus. Under the new rules, all school and work must be done remotely unless absolutely necessary. Indoor dining, casinos, theaters, bowling alleys and a number of indoor activities must stop. Those restrictions went into affect Wednesday, and will last three weeks.

So where's Matt playing next season?

How dare her! Taking up for small businesses and freedom. Makes me sick. People wonder why I haven’t left the house since March and it’s because of people like Kelly Stafford who’d rather prop up the stock market than keep people like myself, my wife, and her son safe from this pandemic.

It's one of those things where there are heartbreaking stories on all sides. I totally feel for those hurting economically but I also found out today that my best friend's mom died of it yesterday. 2020 has been brutal.

But is this her opinion?

This is the thing that really needs to be said more considering a vaccine will be here for the "at-risk" population in a month, two months tops.

Those people can wait this thing out at home for the holidays. Sucks, but better than dying.

The rest of us should be able to go about life.

I agree so vehemently with every word and sentiment she is expressing and it is brave AF of her to put this out there with how much she’s going to get bagged on.

So the economy is fricked AND your friends mom died of it? Shouldn’t that tell you something?

I love conservatives and other people in general who preach personal responsibility, but when asked to do so in this regard, it’s completely thrown to the wayside.

Matt is about to have some “woke” and “progressive” teammates telling him to remind her of her place or gtfo of Detroit
