A parish needs 2 consecutive weeks under 5% to open. However, once open, they can stay open as long as the rate is less than 10%.
EBR is 2.9% for both of the last 2 weeks, so they are good to go for a while

So is that 14 consecutive days or the 14 day average?

Total cases by collection date on or after 9/30/2020 - 4,925, plus hospitalizations equals 5,507. The number I posted yesterday using the same methodology was 5,857. There are 350 fewer active cases today than yesterday, a decrease of 5.98%. 305 of the 331 new cases are from test dates during this time.

The local news just said that Louisiana is 1 of 17 states seeing ‘an increase in cases’...
I guess they aren’t technically wrong

It's the weekly average that LDH puts out every Wednesday for the previous 2 weeks, I'm not sure exactly how they calculate it
If you go to LINK /, and click on a parish from the Percent Positivity of Tests by Parish dashboard, it will show you the numbers they are using

That’s about as genuine as if we had claimed our 63 cases a few days ago was the lowest number since the pandemic started.

Its an average but its broken up in weeks, not a two week cumulative. So each week needs to be under 5% by itself.
