I think the left loses whatever bit of sanity they have left if Trump wins and they open a can of worms this country hasn’t seen since the Civil War.

Trump wins.
If he loses, as much as it sucks, you won't see huge protests because we all still have to work, and will have to do even more so to pay all of the damn taxes we will start paying.

There will certainly be riots and fires right away if Trump wins.
However there will be riots and fires if Trump loses also by the left, much like the way morons destroy and set fires in their cities after their teams win the Super Bowl. Republicans don’t riot.
Although this shite needs to stop, at this late point in the election cycle each violent protest and each city that burns will only drive more and more voters and decent individuals to the right and to Trump.

If Trump loses, they may celebrate but they know they will be fine.

Now that Democrats say the protest are bad and trumps fault. The reasoning to cancel the debate will be the lack of safety at the debate.
The first debate is the 29th. Around the 20th there will be "severe" riots in Cleveland and they will attack the Case Western Reserve University. Now that the riots are Trumps fault he will claim his personal safety is in danger due to the evil riots that Trump started.
Media will back up their cause and Biden will not show up to the debate and instead have a video conference with Obama or a high level Democrat. This video conference will attack Trump on his decisions
The goal is for Biden , like yesterday, to say false statements to gain moderate votes. Without Trump calling him out on national tv
