For the sake of this thread I’m talking about just Disney, not Pixar.

I honestly think Moana is my favorite Disney animated movie ever, the voice acting, story, and music is all incredible. It’s well paced, super engaging, likable characters, it has everything. It is definitely my favorite soundtrack of any Disney movie, the original music in it is incredible.

Maybe I’m having recency bias, but it’s either my #1 or #2 behind The Lion King.

If you ask my two year old it is definitely #2 behind Wreck It Ralph.

My Disney animation knowledge is weak and dated, so no way am I figuring out an actual ranking, but it would certainly be near the top for me. I really enjoyed that movie.

The songs are in the tier with Lion King, Beauty and the Beast, and Little Mermaid.

Is the music as catchy and earworm-prone as Hamilton? I'm leaning toward believing that LMM has a deal with the devil.

There are way too many Disney animated movies to rank but all I can say is that, as a parent, I don't mind when my kids decide to have it on repeat.

Music, animation, tone and voice performances are all top notch.

Solid. Probably put it slightly outside of the Top 10.

It’s not better than Beauty and the Beast or The Lion King. Not close. Then you have to think about others like Frozen, The Little Mermaid, Aladdin, Meet the Robinsons, Big Hero 6, Lady and the Tramp, Peter Pan, Jungle Book, and the princess fairy tales: Cinderella, Sleeping Beauty, Snow White...

It’s good and well-made. I enjoy the music and the story. The characters fall pretty flat though. Maui carries the movie.

I’m not saying it’s better or worse than those. Simply that they’re the ones which are comparable.

I think It’s a fine movie.

I wouldnt Put it above most of the stuff from the 90s.

Below Aladdin, Beauty and the Beast and the Little Mermaid.

I also Prefer some of the classic stuff. Peter Pan and Robin Hood.

The music was good, but I feel Like Lin Manuel has a habit of limiting the range of people who feels can’t sing. Maybe that necessary for the rock but I thought He wrote a super catchy David Bowie-esque song for Jermaine Clement and it lacked all the high notes it needed.
