You’ll have your answer in about 12 minutes with the latest update. I think that is the one that everyone makes decisions off of. We’re what, a little over 24 hours before impacts are being felt. That is very little
Time to get out of an area the size of Houston. Reminds me a lot of Rita.

I was in the galleria area staying there for work after Katrina and had to evacuate Rita. Took people I knew 24 hours to get to San Antonio. I rolled the dice and left at 1 am the morning of and rolled back to the New Orleans metro area. Took me 7 hours but it was a good decision.

Living in Houston people panicked over Marco on Saturday but not much over Laura. Maybe today will be a wake up call.

Since seeing the movie Apocoalypto in the past year I try to imagine what happened on the Yucatán when a hurricane came rolling through back then. Sorry, random thought.

Good luck to SWLA and East Tx.

Wasn’t Rita originally on track to hit Houston but started tracking East?

Same here. Think I’m leaving today and these westward shifts have convinced me to go East. Mississippi Casinos are cheap. May even go to Orange Beach and watch the waves roll in.

So if you’re a Houston resident, do you bail now, or wait and see if it continues the westward shift?

Depends where... if you didn’t flood for Harvey, you aren’t flooding with this. Moving fast

Will be winds that are the factor with this one. As long as we don’t get another 100 mile jog west, still should be ok in Houston.
