Bar Owners Outraged Over Photos of Crowded Baton Rouge Casino

Three photos were posted to the Louisiana Bar Owners Facebook page Sunday, showing long lines and large crowds of people waiting to get into the L'auberge Casino Resort in Baton Rouge. The photo shows a huge line of people and most don't even look like they are six feet apart, causing outrage from the bar owners on the page.
So what is right and what is wrong here? Currently, casinos are allowed to be open at 50% capacity, but patrons do have to where masks the entire time they are on the property. What really gets the bar owners is that patrons are being served alcohol the whole time, as long as they are gaming. The other side of the coin is that bars remain closed, but could they do they same as casinos and let 50% capacity in with patrons wearing face masks the entire time?

That’s a damn shame. I can’t imagine putting my blood, sweat, and tears into a business that I pay hefty taxes on while the government shuts me down and allows corporations bars to keep going.

Kind of hard to sit at a bar drinking with a mask on.
I do think the government rules are BS though. Gotta keep that casino revenue flowing

This topic will never get old and sadly reminds me of Animal Farm. All animals are equal but some are more equal than others. We have actually seen some of the concepts in that classic book happen right before our eyes. Schools opening are bad but gathering by the thousands and burning, vandalizing and rioting is good. Funerals are restricted unless its a Democrat then crowds are ok. Bars are bad but casinos are just kosher. And a SCOTUS that ruled against the first amendment free practice of religion while supporting an activity, like gambling, which isn't a constitutional right.
Clown world.

Don't the casinos operate under different laws since they're on a boat? The whole reason they have to be on boats in the first place is because gambling is still against the law on land.

Tax revenue people. This isn't hard to understand. Our government depends on that revenue significantly. Now what they do with it is surely fricked up, but that's Louisiana in a nutshell really.
It is what it is, but let's understand why they are open.

I went Saturday night to the Ameristar in Vicksburg you stand in front of a machine that takes your temperature. The guy in front of me stands there and it reads 101.8 I said hey man he needs to go WTF. SECURITY Tells him to do it again, this time it is 100.8. I'm like how many times man I'm leaving this is bullshite! Security tells him do it again 98.8 and told him to come on. I was pissed I told security guard that was bullshite, went and found a supervisor he said he should not have let him in. I told him that was bullshite and left ! And 6 foot rule is complete BS at first it was not now ! If I owned a bar or church or any business! They should sue whoever you sue because it ain't Right

If you are throwing your money away no mask is required.

To me, the answer is clear: Bar owners should start allowing gambling in the establishments. Then, they should be all set!

Bar owners have not realized that 97.8% of Rona rules have zero logic or thoughtfulness behind them. They are for the most part stupid and arbitrary.

People are going to go where stuff is open. It’s not hard to understand.
It’s impossible for people to just stay home for months and not go do anything.
