Which is a very reasonable stance, but we’ll see how many actually sit out when the time comes.
The very first line in the article says that “NCAA sports... disproportionately harm Black college athletes.”
Imagine thinking that you are being disproportionately harmed by being BMOC, getting elite tutoring, training, Nutritionists and dieticians, great strength coaching, exposure, and access to the top network of alums and opportunities.
That’s what stuck with me. Disproportionately harmed.

Let's cut to the chase here. This is about some racial motive. The rest is superfluous.
Arguing you want to end racial injustices sounds good to anyone, but please do spell out exactly what you are disgruntled about.
I can always argue that we need to "improve education", but what exactly do I want to improve? I'd need to spell it out.
In this day and age of recruiting superwars, I cannot figure out what injustice any athlete is suffering. Even the rest of the student body is in pretty good shape. All races. Many of whom got to school due to an affirmative action-like creed.

If these cry babies want to sit out, go for it. Just replace them

What is the dollar value to admission at Stanford or Cal?
Not the value of the education or the scholarship, just the admission.
Like if you could sell your spot. I think $250,000 minimum. Likely up to $500,000.
The majority of athletes to not qualify for admission to these elite universities. This guaranteed admission is an often overlooked part of their compensation and benefits package.

Why are we giving any credence whatsoever to anyone who acts like the Chinese Flu poses any kind of a threat to 18-22 year old players?
We cant say for sure there arent long term effects. But if there are not, do you think there is not more risk to their families? Specifically the obese or elderly in their families if they go to visit?

Oh boy. Here we go. LOL
Everything the left pushes is always "reasonable", until two seconds later when you realize it isn't.

Everyone has this risk. Whether football player or not.
If a kid wants to play he can. If he doesn’t want to play he should be able to opt out. No problem with keeping him on scholarship, but he should be precluded from all team activities for his safety and the teams safety.
No weight room, training table, tutoring, practice, training room or anything related to football

So I guess the WSU player recorded his conversation with his coach and leaked it to the media.
LINK /
It doesn't sound too bad from the coach's side.
Summary:
WR: I have Sickle Cell and want to sit out.
Coach: That's perfectly fine. But what about the unity movement?
WR: that too.
Coach: That's going to be a problem. You keep your scholarship for the COVID stuff, but beyond this year, it's in question.
WR: I want to stay here and do workouts.
Coach: No. You sitting out but still working out with us is a mixed message. You'll probably have to get your stuff out of the locker room.

I figured barring them from workouts if they’re sitting out based on health reasons would be common sense? If the risk is too high to play games then it’s too high to be in fairly close proximity working out with your teammates...

Right on coach. Maybe kid will learn a valuable life lesson from this

Got any data that says otherwise? I'm not a "hoax", or anti mask person, but I do prefer data to make an informed opinion. And there isn't any data that says he's wrong. I'd be happy to say I'm wrong if you can show me some.
Way to leave out half my quote and make it look like i was disagreeing with Lou Pai about it not being serious to 20 year olds.

No, you completely fricked up your quoting.
