I'm saying creating a potentially deadly situation over a weed dealer is very fricking stupid! Someone tries to physically harm your daughter in anyway, sure, shoot first. Don't leave them alive to speak in court. But getting shot over a dime bag is a shitty job of choosing your battles.
It won't even be the last time she's offered weed, whether he lives or not. Teach your kids how to handle that themselves.

“Act like a dad”? Well I certainly understand your point, but a dad should try to set the example of being the more rational, mature adult. Especially if he endangered himself in some way. While there was no obvious threat here, he’s still nursing gunshot wounds and slapped a woman (whether deserved or not).
I want a dad to act like an intelligent mentor. Not someone who gets himself shot giving in to his emotions.
But again infer your point. It was just the wrong execution.

The answer to that question is no, though that is considered active aggression and a law enforcement officer can then use intermediate weapons, i.e. whup your arse with a baton and say I was going for your common peroneal, but that’s not a deadly force situation.
As far as the situation in the video, I’ll preface what I’m about to say with how in the current environment of “protesters” attacking people in their vehicles on highways with no where to go, like in the Austin or Arizona instances, I’m all for self defense of deadly force.
However, in this case based on the video, if she was gonna shoot should’ve done it on initial entry; at that point it could be viewed as a car jacking, breaking into extension of home, trapped and do not know their intent. Fear for life scenarios.
Four things to justify deadly force. Ability, opportunity, imminent jeopardy, and preclusion.
She may have had two of the four. The driving away and stopping will be difficult to explain using deadly force.

That was my point...if she has the right to use deadly force for a slap, then LEO have that same right. Even LEOs don't give up their right for personal defense. They are trained to react differently yet still have the right to defend themselves. A slap DOES NOT give ANYONE the right to use deadly force.*
