If the Texas game is canceled do we demand they reschedule it?

I’m not really talking about if Texas has a duty to reschedule it as I’m sure they don’t based on the circumstances. But do we publicly pressure them to reschedule it?

I fully expect them to throw their hands up and not lift a finger to return to Baton Rouge because that’s their way. Texas gets what Texas wants and they’ll hold their noses up about it forever. If they won’t reschedule it would be my dream for Woodward to publicly call them out about it and ridicule them.

They have a one off road game with Arkansas in 2021, then they start home and home series with Alabama, ohio state, Michigan. I see no reason why they cant come to baton rouge in 2021 instead of 2020, cancel that Arkansas game and we will cancel a rent a win, giving us at UCLA AND home vs Texas

Good luck demanding anything right now. 2020. Pandemic. 150000 people dead. Millions unemployed. Millions infected. Rioting in the streets.

They'll reschedule the same year Arizona State repays us for the 2005 relocation.

if there is language in the contact for unexpected events like this , sure. If not, well, we can ask, but it sucks to be us.

It may be like a Va Tech Thing. Texas agrees to come to LSU in 2028.

It’s just bad luck and we have to move on. Texas has no obligation to reschedule.

At least we took their best shot and still beat their arse.

Remember, we beat them in football, baseball, and basketball in the same academic year.

We could always use it to continue our recruiting advantage in Texas. I could hear O telling recruits, hey we beat them on the road and now the pussies are too scared to come play in Death Valley, you really want to play for a pussy coach....

It's a home-and-home contract; it will be rescheduled.

It will be like the home and home with Oklahoma. Continually pushed back until it's now late in the decade, and still doubtful.

You would think Texas and their fans would want to find a way of playing LSU in the very near future.

As an LSU fan, if another team came into Tiger Stadium and whipped us on national TV, I would want an immediate opportunity for payback.

As the saying goes take a crap in one hand and demand in the other. See which one fills up faster!

LSU can only demand what the contract allows them to demand. We saw with the Chavis contract that LSU’s legal team is about on the level of Sal’s Snowball Stand, so I would not expect much.

We're the ones whose conference cancelled it. What position would we be in to demand anything?

I don’t want Texas coming to an empty stadium, do you?

Texas will never play in Tiger Stadium. Ain't gonna happen. They don't have the spine. They don't have the honor.

disagree, I think the opposite will be true, I think Herman would desperately love to beat LSU. he made his name with big wins like that, and he has a good team, it's not some impossible fantasy. it's almost win-win for him, if he beats us, awesome, if he doesnt, he's still new enough to write it off as part of the process. all he needs is a close game and they can do that, they already did vs our best team ever.

Why can’t they just move them into one of the TBD slots for this season?
