I’m currently on season three and I hear the show really does a deep dive sooner or later. When does it happen?

I'm in the minority and like whole series. Seasons 3,4 and 6 are still gonna be good. It's 5, 7 and 8 that people take the most issue with I think. Also, the ending is fricking awful. But, for me it's still worth watching all the way through.

5 is fine and actually provides a nice convenient stopping point if you have the desire and/or willpower to do such a thing. 6 is a notch down and borders on meh, 7 is bad, and 8 is insulting garbage.

1-4 are excellent and 4 is elite. 4 is one of the best single seasons of any show I've seen.

Yeah I enjoyed it all the way through for the most part.

Doakes should have been in more seasons.

Stop after season 4. That is Dexter's high point. It's falls off a cliff in season 5 with the awful addition of Julia Stiles.

I enjoyed all the seasons but the final one. That was bad.

Season 4 is the peak.
Stop after 5 at the latest, but I always suggest after season 4 finale

I’m jealous that you’re about to see the Thanksgiving episode for the first time

It doesn’t really get bad until the last season. 4 was peak Dexter and some of the best tv I’ve ever seen. 5-7 were ok with each season getting progressively worse until your left with the bullshite last season.

5, 7(mostly), and 8. I still think the show would've been better just ending with the finale of season 7 and just having the audience then draw their own conclusions on the characters futures.

Do we really think a woman like that would keep putting up with Dexter's shite?

5 is obviously a step down from season 4 but not that bad. It drops quickly after 5 though.

I didnt have showtime, but used to rewatch each season prior to the next releasing on dvd. I think season 5 is the last I did that with though due to the drop in quality.

I mean she was in an abusive relationship prior to Dexter and her mother is always putting her down..... So confidence issues are certainly there
