It’s not easy carrying America on our backs. Are our votes not worth anything? Are we not worth getting handouts?

The people caught between middle class and rich really get the shaft. The $200,000-350,000 earners just carrying the weight for all the poors around here.

Let’s make a list of what government does for people like me? Absolutely nothing. America only panders to the absolute poor or extremely rich. We’re the Forgotten Class.

This is the worst kind of victimhood complex. You make 200-350k and you are complaining about some out of work waitress getting 1.2k. Be grateful for what you have. Plus, the govt you pay for keeps the “poors” from breaking in and taking your toys.

Anomalies?

If you’re in the top 5% of earners, it’s ridiculous to claim your income is not that of a wealthy person’s income.

And yes, we all know someone who is richer than us and who drives a G wagon to their lake home on the weekends. That doesn’t make you not a high earner.

That's why demonizing "the rich" is so stupid. They are using hatred of a few people to get take the money from people that aren't that rich. See chart above.

Anyone using "Jeff Bezos" as an example of "the rich" is an idiot, or a liar.

BTW, you ain't carrying a damn thing, we had sales managers in the auto business making $400K yearly in the early '90's. And the store GM's made multiples of that. 30 years ago! Carrying's arse. You need to find a real job if you are all shot in he butt @ not getting $1200.

I won't get either stimulus, AND I WORK FOR THE US GOVERNMENT DIRECTLY putting my life on the line daily as a Marshal.

Y'all don't know how bad it sucks to know the federal criminal you're arresting got a free $1200 the other day and spent it on weed and a flatscreen TV, and I didn't even get a christmas bonus last year.

THAT'S a level of pain and frustration very unique to my situation, and I wouldn't wish it upon any of you assholes.

Communists have hijacked the narrative of America. Just because all of us worked hard to achieve our American Dream doesn’t mean we should be denied equal consideration.
Communists have sold the idea that hating "the rich" equals helping "the poor".

They are not equals.

But that incited hatred is great for evil people seeking more power and government control.

That’s not the same as “rich”. Denzel Washington is rich. NBA stars are rich. The gap between their lifestyle and mine is an order of magnitude different than the gap between my lifestyle and a family that gets by on $60k. I know this for a fact, because I’m friends with several people like that.

We just have different definitions of rich. You think “rich” is the top 1% of the 1%.

$450k annual income puts you in the top 1%. That wouldn’t make you rich according to your definition. I think that’s silly. But we can disagree.

I’m advocating for tax decreases if they’re going to continue giving money out to people who don’t pay real tax money.

I frankly don’t give two fricks how you feel about me.

That attitude is why we are the Forgotten Class. Guess we’ll have to start rattling more chains and sabers.

I tell you though, I only recently was able to get to into this position, and it took a bit of luck. Most of my life, I was in a situation where I was either breaking my back working overtime to make 80k per year, or out doing contract work and staying gone from home all the time. I am not gonna cry about not getting that $2,900 now, because it's damn sure better.

That chart I posted is what Congress sees. When they need money, guess where they're going?

I agree with you but at the same time I don’t feel bad for your situation. Whining on a message board because you want a $1200 handout too. That’s probably chump change for ballers like you.

So, because you did well, you feel guilty others didn’t and you’re not worthy of equal treatment. If that doesn’t sum up modern America.

That isn’t being stand up. That’s being a political masochist.

It's rich. Very rich. The problem is people want to compare themselves to anomalies, not the rest of the country, or world.

Like most people... he's using "they have more than me" definition of what it means to be 'rich'. Nothing better than when someone making $200k/yr describes themselves as "middle class".
