I probably lean towards the side that says Zelensky should NOT urge the civilians to fight the Russian Army. He should tell them to put white flags out of the buildings that are civilian buildings containing no military assets. When the Russian Army arrives, send the Mayor to meet them and discuss terms of Occupation Law and allow Russian inspection teams to inspect buildings to ensure that they contain no Partisan guerilla fighters. This is probably the better way, although, sure it does seem like surrender, so, it is distasteful.
I’m glad Americans didn’t take this type of advice during our revolution. Would you tell Americans to do this today if a foreign power invaded?

PS4 crashes every time I try to do the Ancients. I’m stuck in Act 5 normal. Worst possible place!
My PS4 experience:
Zero server issues besides some rubber banding. I had to close the game for my hero to reload after he disappeared. No lost levels. I’m Playing a Fire Druid and at Act 4 Norm. The visuals are great and I’m going slow just to enjoy them. I’ll respec to wind in Hell. Stealth and Leaf makes fire so good early. Plus a Mercedes running Steel is easy.
I’m surprised by the controls being decent. I firgured AOE spells would work well. Anyone try Sorc on Console?

I just bought it for PS4. $40 for a walk down memory lane.
re: 50% of millennials think they need $300,000 or less to retire in comfort

I'll retire with $5000 a month in SS and pension. That's enough money for us to do damn near anything we want without touching a dime of 401k.
People underestimate health care costs. An assisted living facility easily costs $5k/mo.
I would budget no less than $8-10k/mo total income for retirement and assume by 70 one partner will need full time care.
At this point, no one.
I shared with my mom when I saved my first 10k. We grew up poor and this was the magic number she always said to save for emergencies. I’ve fixed her finances much later in life but the poor choices are baked in. Sharing only reminds her of those choices.
I had dinner with a girlfriend when I paid off my student loans. She’s a doctor who introduced me to Mint. It improved my spending habits but I already had good savings habits with 15% going to retirement accounts. When we looked at each other’s accounts she got sad. She was 300k in debt from private college and med school with zero cash flow or retirement savings despite six figure income. I had zero debt, positive cash flow, and healthy retirement accounts despite being a screw up with a crap job. I learned not to share.

I didn’t say DS1 players didn’t use shields. I even ranked DS1 below BB. After two previous games, DS2 weapon and move set diversity allowed experienced players more options with no shield builds.
BB forced zero shield use. It was a good decision because it was a change for players after 3 similar games. It also forced players to learn dodging and riposting prior to boss fights.
I think DmS and DS3 are further from BB than BB is from DS1/2.

If we are listing PS JRPGs: No Ni Kuni PS3 and Rogue Galaxy PS2 deserve mention.
Both are Level-5 games with excellent stories and gameplay, respectively. The art design in No Ni Kuni and animated scenes were done by Studio Ghibli. Rogue Galaxy came out at the very end of the PS2 life and suffered when compared to the sea of JRPGs on PS2 like FFX, FFXII. The gameplay and graphics were excellent, but storylines could have been better.

Nope. Not even the best Souls game.
I played Demon Souls in 09 when it came out. It was revolutionary. Dark Souls 1 had great level design. DS2 gets crap but I may have put the most hours into it for PvP. DS3 took the best of 1 and 2.
BB’s removal of a shield is nothing new for people who 2h, dual wield, or riposte. Going from medieval to lovecraftian is cool. It’s life regen rage mechanic is a good idea for keeping button mashers interested. A different world and different mechanics make it a good entry. The limited weapons ultimately limited the experience. The biggest knock on DS vs BB is that with 4 entries the DS world tends to blur over time while BB stands unique.
1. Tie Demon Souls / DS3
3. BB
4. DS1
5. DS2
There’s a reason Elden Ring looks very DS-like instead of being BB2.

Thunderdome Restaurant Group received $8M in PPP loans which were likely forgiven.
John Lanni has a net worth of $11M.
He is crying about having to pay more than minimum wage in an industry where front of house staff costs less than $3/hr while taking $8M of tax payer money. Screw that guy.

Just thought I would say hi. I’ve been fishing out of a Perception Prism since early 2000s. I’ve been looking at new kayaks and I’m amazed how much they’ve changed.
Any thoughts on the Pescador Pro 12? Or recommendations on a yak for the Pontch/Gulf?

You can manipulate the numbers all you want, 2020 California’s GDP was -3.5%. Their state is in the toilet. They have the largest population so the fact that their economy is bigger isn’t impressive. I used to live there, nice weather, but stupid people have run it in the ground.
TX was -3.5% and CA was -2.8%. There was no state better positioned to rebound faster than CA due to its technology sector. Read the article.
There’s this belief telework and businesses leaving will be the downfall of CA but that’s not going to happen. CA had a $76B surplus and is issuing tax rebates to families.

Sorry, forgot you are married. In most states you are allowed to keep $130k of non exempt assets in your name and you are allowed exempt assets (e.g. Homestead and IRAs in most states). How much over 130k are you?
Are you practicing law in LA?
My parents are burning through an IRA housing my dad in an assisted living facility since Jan. Everything on the LA website I read says they won’t qualify for Medicaid.

Wow. This opinion is how we reach peak idiocracy.
Be upfront about what you expect the appraised value to be with a justification and a specific property that compares well. My appraisal lasted 10mins with 15 quick photos. A house 3 doors down sold 90 days before my refi making the job easy. She appraised mine for the same price which is what I told her I expected.
