Nope. We’re not wealthy enough to buy politicians and the numbers don’t make for a useful voting block.

You know how many credits I get to claim as a DINK in that Income range? Nothing. All I get is a standard deduction. I out earn any deduction.

They even took away the moving credit.

I can't really complain about not getting a stimulus check because we got the PPP for our small business, but that went to cover salaries and we still didn't take a paycheck for 2 months so we could retain all our employees.

We’re actually the most abused voting bloc. We never get any tax relief, credits, or stimulus. Am I hard up? No. But we pay damn near 50k in taxes.

Over my lifetime it’s almost $2,000,000 over the next 30.

I can’t even get a $1200 stimulus check.

Yeah, but at least we can buy bigger boats, so we can lose more guns.

Retired folks, like me and millions more, are not getting anything either, and we still pay taxes.

The problem is we’re too comfortable. We upvote this thread but the response to upvote ratio is low. We are a people without resolve. Our bills are paid. Our tummy’s are full. Our complaints are viewed as trivial in light of others.

That attitude is why we are the Forgotten Class. Guess we’ll have to start rattling more chains and sabers.

It is bit frustrating.

No stimulus here and we didn't take PPP because we ran our business responsibly and didn't want to commit fraud.

I just chuckle as people calculate their stimulus check and ask “how much will you get?”

It’s better to not get the stimulus. Enjoy life.

P.S. - $200k income is rich. Top 6% of earners for household income. $350k is top 2%. It may not feel rich. It is.

Absolutely nobody is thanking you for that.

It’s time to get ruthless, people.

If we’re top 5%, then America is in trouble.

You can rattle them all you like; it’s a numbers game. Envy is an easy sell and there aren’t enough people in the group you’re discussing to be a political force.

That's where the money is.

I have some bad news for you. $200k/yr puts you in the top 4%. By any sensible definition that is rich.

Then wtf do you call people who have a Gulfstream and a 4th house on Lake Como? Because you ain’t sniffing that on $200k.
