I saw Sevendust and P.O.D. at Joe's Big Bamboo in Little Rock in the late 90's. There couldn't have been more than a couple hundred people there. This was right after "Southtown" by P.O.D. hit the radio.

I saw both Leon bridges and Tyler’s Childers in the same tiny arse venue a few blocks from my house in Denver a few years back. Leon did open mic night across the street before his set
ETA: I’ve also seen Paul Cauthen and Texas gentlemen there. That night Nathaniel Radcliffe showed up and cover Atlantic City

I've seen King's X in a few bars, maybe 100 people at most in each venue. Saw Living Colour years ago, same amount of people. I went on the Progressive Nation at Sea cruise, saw a bunch of bands in very small venues. To name some: Adrian Belew, Devin Townsend, Animals as Leaders, Haken, Anneke Van Giersbergen, King's X, Bumblefoot, Jon Anderson, Thank You Scientist, Periphery, Pain of Salvation, The Dear Hunter, Anathema, and a bunch of Mike Portnoy.
