Working from home would be awesome if I didn’t have a 2 and 5 year old here all day.

Really would have sucked to sit through that nonsense

Really would have sucked to open your mind to hear what "the other side" has to say on something.

It isn't really an "other side" issue. There are undeniable benefits to diversity - new and better ideas occur faster and more frequently when you're exposed to different cultural and societal viewpoints that a diverse workfoce can bring you.

I could knock out everything in a couple hours.

This is the real answer here. I've worked from home since last summer and usually only do actual work for about 3 hours a day and can still make as much as I did full time before. It's really awesome to be honest.

This morning I woke up at 745, brushed my teeth, made a morning bottle for my 10 month old, signed on my laptop, woke him up and fed him. Now he;s playing and I'm on a conference call with him sitting right beside me.

The fact I don't have to ship him off to daycare 10+ hours a day and can instead spend this time with him is the best benefit I could think of.

No commute = time and gas savings
Sleep in later
Wear whatever I want
Out of a cubicle
Less meetings
Don’t have to be around douches in the office
On lunch break I cut the grass and do things I’d normally do on the weekend
Quick access to my kitchen
No more battle shits in the bathroom, peaceful dumps without someone blowing it up next to me
Take a quick nap if I want

And best of all since my wife is working from home, get a blowie on the clock.

I sure would not mind skipping my hour long commute each day.

Being able to get what I need to get done in like 3 hours then having the rest of the day to do what I want instead of just staying at the office

It must be nice for you nonessentials to stay at home. Lots of bonding opportunities with your wife’s son

I did two weeks at home from the beach house
It was okay but in my industry you need the team all around
I also miss the frat house atmosphere of the floor

The only plus is I can wear shorts and a t shirt
