I also missed the free coffee and my two big monitors at the office.

I love working from home, but come in for my big desk/screens at least 3 days a week. I work solo for the most part, so interruptions or morons isn’t a concern at my office. I’d want to come in a lot less if I worked in a traditional setting with random coworkers bothering me.

I've been working a average of 3 hours a week from home since the shut down in March. Was suppose to be back in the office last week but the spike killed any hopes of that. I can't believe I'm still getting paid.

I have realized how much work dominated my life. Not sure I can go back to normal.

Haven't been to the office since mid March..

Best of all, here I have a pretty little barista that delivers coffee (and lunch) :)

It must be nice for you nonessentials to stay at home. Lots of bonding opportunities with your wife’s son

Yeah ok. Just because you work at Mcdonalds and are deemed essential doesnt mean you are important. Face it man your just jealous

I had the Same setup as well but if you working from home full time jump on ebay and get a couple of used ones. I got 2 24 inch for 120 bucks. It has helped me because with the same setup at home that i had at work i feel kinda like im back at work. I mean minus the dogs, kids, wife always bothering me every 10 mins

Benefits are you really dont have to work that much in most jobs from home

disadvantage is most employers are going to realize this and change the salary for that position. You may not be effected, but future employees will.

true, but its easier to make cuts and downsize when people are merely "employees" due to lack of personal interaction. I realize this isn't a universal aspect of most businesses, but I believe there are still some companies around that are less likely to cut an employee they see every day as opposed to one they don't. Watching the squirrels use the top of the picket fence as a highway from one end of the yard to the other. The tops of the pickets are 3/4 in squares and they never miss a post. Also seeing a snake getting an unaware lizard

Office from home daily since 2014 and I'm not sure I could go back into an office and really enjoy it. Someone mentioned naps and let me tell you, naps are awesome.

My wife was only home for a month but she was working too and didn't bother me. She was a lot less busy at home and would make me lunch most days.

My kid is 13 and no real distraction.

My dog has been a spoiled little shite with people home all day though.

My wife has been working from home and has had the most productive 3 months of her career. She loves it because of reasons other guys have already mentioned...no commute, no distractions, sleep later, etc.

Their company has already released a policy that she can work from home indefinitely.

To answer OPs question, WFH is fricking great. Only downside right now, is that my wife (no pics) is a teacher and is off for the summer. This also means my kids are not at daycare.

I work in IT and I think this is showing how dumb it is to require us to be in an office. We are nationwide, when in the office, my team goes into a meeting room and dials into meetings with people around the country. There is 0 point to us being in the office.

I have 3 22 inch wide screens set up on my desk. I'm equally effecient at home as I am in the office. Probably more so since now I can ignore little questions from coworkers through chat if I am busy.
