Best Chicken Marsala I’ve had and this includes some pretty good Italian restaurants as well.

Wife and I went on our first date at the one on Coursey in Baton Rouge. I was always fond of the Pad Thai and bread of course.

Quattro formaggi and jambalaya pastawere incredibly filling and delicious dishes. We would always frequent the Coursey location

My dad’s office wasn’t far from there growing up. Every time we’d go see him for lunch, we’d go to Semolinas. It’s been probably 15 years since I’ve been in one, but I loved it growing up.

Cheeseburger Pasta (sounds awful) was a work of Americana food art.

Friend,
I may have eaten at Semolinas only twice, both times at the one off the interstate by the cemeteries. I did not like it and would be hard pressed to remember one top dish there. In a city of great Italian restaurants it never made sense to me that it survived as long as it did, except that it pulled the chain vibe, which some diners enjoy. Regenellis and Italian Pie are in that same category.
Yours,

Used to trade out with them when I worked at O'henry's. Food was good there

Bumping this thread. Stadium Rat, do you know if these are one serving recipes?

Semolina Chicken Marsala was straight-up fire.
Man I loved this restaurant in the early 2000's.
Used to go to the one on Metairie Road a lot.

I always considered theirs my favorite version of pad thai.

The Quattro formaggi was the guilty pleasure for me while a broke student in the mid 90’s

I always enjoyed my meals at the Clearview Mall location. Though like others had mentioned, it seemed like they just weren’t ever busy lately.

The Keto revolution definitely had an impact on their business, rightfully or not. Very solid concept and execution- but the foodthink of the nation changed a lot in the last 20 years.

I worked at the one on Coursey Blvd for a bunch of years. Had every single Semolina dish probably 100 times or more plus invented another 20+. So many stories I could tell from those times, just a great place to work in late 90's.
Oh well, sad to see ya go Semolinas!

Definitely more than one serving. We prepared the Roban recipe with shrimp. Ate on it for two days so definitely more than one serving. Thanks for the recipes!

When the Alexandria LA location opened, it was a revolution. The most insane takeout business in Cenla at the time. I remember distinctly the different 3 foot pasta shapes hanging from the ceiling.
