The argument that the officer kicked and didn’t administer CPR are fabrications by the Atlanta DA.

But the camera never stopped recording, as it was picked up and carried around by other officers called out to investigate the shooting before eventually being returned to its owner.
Amid angry shouts and accusations from by-standers Rolfe can be clearly heard pleading, 'Mr. Brooks keep breathing. Keep breathing for me.'
The jerky bodycam footage captures him kneeling on the ground and administering CPR to the bleeding man while Brosnan looks on.
Rolfe administered CPR until the ambulance arrived and can be heard repeatedly calling Mr. Brooks' name as he tried to keep him alive.

The DA lies again. The other cop WILL NOT be testifying for the state, and get this, the DA did not even wait for the fricking investigation!!! This is downright crazy levels of injustice. The feds need to step in

This shite with the FBI not being allowed to finish their investigation blows my mind. It's such a miscarriage of justice.

We are absolutely seeing a black man trying to murder a white man with the legal system. How this is being allowed is mind blowing

So what happens when the cops go to his home and are met by live rounds through their windshields? Or, is your solution to just let him off because it’s just a DWI?
His case a little unique given his history so there’s a good chance they arrest this dude...
but you pick up parole violators all over the place on a regular basis. You get to tactically plan an approach instead of have a surprise wrestling match.
But in a general sense on a dui...
If he puts his hands behind his back and goes with them he gets popped in jail a couple hours, car impounded, license suspended, and a date to report for his court case? Roughly speaking?
Do we gain any substantial societal benefit from asking our police to wrestle him there? I don’t think it’s quite as asinine a question as some of you are acting. They have his car. A license suspension is procedural. A court summons can be mailed.
Edit: I didn’t even realize one of the bullets hit an unrelated car with 3 people in it til a story I juuuuust read.

The corruption surrounding this Democrat mayor and Democrat DA is so transparent that anyone can see it. They are 100% in. The mayor to save face and get the VP slot and the DA to hopefully avoid prison.

Man carjacks innocent person using taser stolen from police... kills family in wreck while fleeing. Yes, society was infinitely better by his life being terminated at that moment

This was a violent felon out on parole. He wasn't getting released after violating that parole. He was going to fight and attempt to run no matter where they tried to "pick him up".

quote:Apparently, that same DA said a taser is a deadly weapon not too long ago when used on rioters. Now, his tone is completely different.
Is a taser considered a deadly weapon when used on police? Could be a deciding factor. I agree this seemed like a legal shoot by the police, but let's say Brooks grabbed a baton and threw it at the police. That's not grounds for a legal shooting right? Certain a gun would be. So my question is where is the line drawn currently?
ETA - I see this was already brought up.
