What dumb is to think that nothing’s coming, like the echo chamber here does.

It is now crystal clear that the NCAA is using FBI investigative material to hold coaches accountable for alleged wrongdoing.
Legally it has to be FBI material that is publicly available. It’s my understanding that it cannot be 6e material unless it was FOIA’d and then becomes public.
With that said....produce the tapes.
Guess what? There are no tapes.
However the NCAA threshold is much lower than a legal FBI threshold. The NCAA has their own set of rules. Hopefully the Mark Emmert/Scott Woodward relationship can bend those rules in LSU’s favor that is fair to everyone.

Do you always live in denial or just in this instance?

there seems to be more and more information coming out that a "letter" is forthcoming
Based on what? Dickhead Vitale's bullshite?

Because it’s the NCAA and Wade broke the cardinal rule of “do what you want but don’t make us look bad” so the NCAA will find some ticky tacky thing and give LSU some sort of violation.
Like when North Carolina made up classes for their athletes?
Or Kansas starting a brawl that spilled into the stands?
Or when one of their coaches were having affairs on tables in restaurants, or with staff on the back of motorcycles
Or parent and coaches are caught on tape offering up kids for compensation?
Or when a father admitted to literally taking 200,000 dollars for his son to go to a school?

There is a tape. We've all heard it. So let's not act like it doesn't exist. If Dawkins' lawyers tried to get it admitted in the criminal trial then it exist. It just wasn't (per the judge's ruling) relevant to the case at hand. This is an administrative investigation by an administrative body. The burden of proof is not beyond a reasonable doubt like it is in a criminal trial. Likewise, the threshold for admissible evidence is MUCH lower. The NCAA could (and probably has) just go interview Dawkins and/or his attorneys about the tapes. Now, the NCAA can't compel them to cooperate, but they can ask them to talk. And that testimony can be used within the investigation (though one could argue there are credibility concerns).
All together that may not be enough to establish to a degree of more probable that not NCAA violations were committed. Who knows? We don't have everything the NCAA has. But what constitutes admissible evidence in a criminal trial is not the same as what constitutes admissible evidence in an internal administrative investigation/hearing.

yes...and therefore, we don't know what the NCAA has as "evidence." One could make the argument that WW's own words are an admission of guilt.

I don't have to.....WW does. AND, whatever he says to the NCAA has to be convincing...BECAUSE...the NCAA is NOT a court of law.

Actually we do know because there was a fricking trial
And YOU know that EVERYTHING gathered for the trial was actually USED in the trial. Right. I'm sorry, I forgot you know everything.

You just blew a hole in your own argument.

Do you want WW's (alleged) unethical behavior to go unpunished? If the NCAA determines WW is guilty of everything we believe about the "strong arse offer," does he keep his job?.....does LSU deserve sanctions?

There have been more than Dick Vitale talking about LSU receiving a letter from the NCAA. You are in denial. See a doctor.

I have never understood how the words "strong-arse offer" violate NCAA rules.
Until something more substantial than this is provided, it's all smoke and no fire.

That writer is absolutely wrong about the NCAA going easier on schools that cooperate. They say that to get schools to cooperate so they can hammer them. It’s been proven time and time again; if you cooperate with the NCAA you get hammered, and if you don’t cooperate with them you don’t get hammered.

That entire article was just an assumption being made based off of the recent OKState sanctions. Focused more on Kansas than anything else. LSU only mentioned briefly and no mention of anything that we don’t already know.

Except he was wrong. He said we’d gotten a notice and we’d not gotten anything from the NCAA.

I'm sure LSU will probably get something, but how serious it will be or not, I have no clue.
However, Dick has been wrong already about reporting that LSU had received a notice of allegations from the NCAA when LSU officials came out and said so. It makes him look really bad to say stuff has happened when it hasn't yet (especially something of that nature) and shows his axe to grind when there are bigger fish in the pond right now.

We had staff members tied to the fbi? Who went to trial and who went to jail?

Wade is "talking jive" with Dawkins to keep a valuable recruiting contact available. He in no way would ever offer anything against NCAA rules. Simple as that.
That is Wade's explanation to the NCAA. Assuming no money trail, (and there is no way in HELL LSU would have played Smart or Reid with them being ruled ineligible), denials from all parties, what evidence is there against LSU? People exaggerate all the time when trying to impress someone who can be/is useful to them.
We do need one more thing to happen though. We need our ad to marry into the family of a higher up in the NCAA.
