This is what’s being protested, the over militarization of our police force

And it effects people of all colors. I hate that it’s seen as some sort of race war problem when the issue is much broader. The cops have declared war on America, they are arming themselves with surplus military gear, and pay for it with stolen money via CAF. The war on drugs is actually the war on America. And people will blindly "back the blue" and ignore the major problem of militarization that’s happening.

Well OBVIOUSLY there needs to be more "militarization" because they haven't stop much of anything yet.

Ive been profiled by cops several times. Ive been pulled over, searched without cause, ive had cops talk shite and insult me to my face because they wanted me to react to have an excuse to kick my arse.
I have never had a good interaction with police. They always made a bad situation worse whenever i had to call them.
Im still not stupid enough to think that all cops are shitheads, or that attacking random people and destroying businesses will have the slightest affect on them besides making them even more militarized or having to undergo extra diversity training.

Pretty sure rioting only further justifies their "need to be militarized".

Let’s riot because the police have armored personnel carriers so the police can show that they have a need for armored personnel carriers. Makes sense.

I come from a cop family, my dad was local and then federal. Grew up around them all my life, I know they aren’t all shitheads. And I don’t condone the rioters at all.

LOL! No it's not. The Antifa crowd and the other extreme groups are tearing stuff up over the presidency of Donald J Trump and the fear of him getting elected again. And this is their drive to take command of the nation and drive all who disagree with their radical agenda out of the country. No Trump, no Antifa. No Antifa, no destruction to this extent. Certain other groups and minorities are also involved, but their agenda's are different. Some are angry at what the leftists media has drilled into their minds in their zeal to get Trump and many just want some free stuff.

Property, money, grants..they use this to hire more police, buy more gear, to seize more property/money and get grants..

Good post. Police have become tax collectors and jackbooted thugs whose ultimate responsibility is to protect the American wealthy. And those who aren’t in that class are cheering it on, but will feel the heel of said boot soon enough.
