So you think Floyd was compliant and handcuffed and let them walk him across the street.. but decided to start resisting once he fell down a 2nd time?

There was a struggle getting him into the car.

I linked you a video of the whole damn thing

I've already watched it, and about 5 others.
And I've seen cops kneel on the necks of many MANY people before.

He didn't fall, he decided at the last minute that he couldn't go back to jail. Well guess what? He didn't have to. Nobody made HIM!

I can sympathize with all of them as they are terrible. But, there are hundreds of millions of police and public interactions every year and a very small number turn out bad. There are so many police public interactions that the bad outcomes will never disappear, never.

None of the above is worthy of destroying and looting cities, surely you can agree. Well, can you?

I can't. I don't agree with the destruction or looting personally but I also can't say that it isn't justified here.. that really depends on the outcome.

See the bolded part.

I’ve had some good encounters, but mostly bad encounters. I’ve been slammed onto the hood of a police car on more than one occasion during a traffic stop. I’ve been frisked many times. I’ve been searched for drugs and alcohol in my younger days. I’ve had people riding with me questioned. All of this over f$&king speeding tickets when the officer wasn’t even using a radar gun. I’ve been stopped for “being in the wrong neighborhood”. I’ve been stopped for my car “matching a description”.

Yet when a drive-by shooting happened on my street not a mile from the police hq, it took the cops 45 minutes to show up. The officer was visibly annoyed at coming out to investigate, didn’t look for bullet casings, and never followed up. Neighbors found the bullet casings, and turned in security camera footage of the vehicles involved, let them know which vehicle did it (because it was one that drove through the neighborhood frequently, and they basically told us to f$&k off. My house had a f$&king bullet hole in it just inches from the living room window overlooking the sofa where my then wife and another friend were sitting at the time.

Many police departments have well-earned the animosity they see.

I have a different opinion as to the militarization of our police forces. They need to be two steps ahead of the criminal elements they face Day in and out. I would have to say they are equal in armaments and not always but much better trained.

How about if we empower citizens and not the State? We have a God given and Constitutionally recognized right to protect our property and persons against people with ill intent.

Can anyone argue against law-abiding citizens guarding their businesses and homes against violent mobs? If law abiding citizens — regardless of race — have the ability to defend their own property and self with arms, it limits the possibility of police overreach.

My default position is to always argue for an armed (and well trained) citizenry over evermore heavily armed State agents.

From the looks of the "peaceful protests" our Police better learn to train in more military style. These peaceful protesters are very violent. I couldn't be a police officer and put up with all that crap I see them go thru. The good cops need to weed out the bad ones.

And in another thread you’re criticizing Trump because he hasn’t declared martial law and sent in the Marines. Do you try to look an idiot?
