They're going to anyway. You don't have public service shite destroyed to the tune of of 100s of thousands of dollars or more and not have taxes raised to cover the cost of repair/rebuilding.
And when taxes are raised, they are rarely ever lowered.

Contrary to popular belief, the police have zero legal obligation to protect anyone or anything.

Of course

In a city run by Democrats in a state run by Democrats with laws that only come from the Democrats that run the state

Pretty much Drumpf's fault

I find it interesting because the mayor basically encouraged these protests saying they would give out masks but not when they were protesting to go back to work and definitely is against religious centers opening back up.

Just goes back to them picking and choosing who has the right to do what.

That case involves individuals. It specifically states that police, and therefor the government, owe a duty to the public at large. So businesses could sue as a group charging that there was negligence in the government's public duty.

You dolts don't pay attention:

Dozens of Baltimore business owners are suing city officials, including the police department and former Mayor Stephanie Rawlings-Blake, saying they mishandled the city's response to the rioting in 2015.

In a nearly 700-page complaint filed in federal court this week, more than 60 plaintiffs say city officials failed to prevent the looting and rioting that erupted after the arrest and death of Freddie Gray in April 2015, despite warnings the city would experience violence.

The plaintiffs are suing under the Maryland riot act statute, which allows parties to bring a claim against the city for property damage during civil unrest.

They're suing under a law specific to Maryland.
