If it’s still there Saturday for garbage to pick up I will be shocked
I've got a guy down the street that fixes these things. Usually see him come home with his bed loaded up. Wonder how many he just grabs from trash and fixes them uo then sells them.

This is why HOA’s have become necessary to prevent the degradation of civilization.

I would bet that there's still there over the weekend.
Jefferson Parish only picks up bulk on the first garbage day of the week and you have to call them.

I think you’re looking for the Nextdoor app

Call me a snitch. fricks given.
But when the few trashy neighbors in the neighborhood pull this type of ishh in our neighborhood: I send a txt to the HOA President.
Don’t like it; move back to the ghetto

Your neighbor is an amateur. If goodwill don't take it, I just donate the item to a nearby body of water.

there is a third option - toss it in a dumpster and light it on fire

You are a pussy
Anything in the east Metairie that’s worth anything will be picked up within 4 hours by the scavengers.
If it’s not worth picking up and a non retard knows the process, it will be picked up within the week by the parish.

My neighborhood has bulk trash pickup every Thursday. Am I trashy if I put bulk trash out there for them to pick up?

Different story over here on the other side of the river. They pick up next to nothing that is not in a container. At my house in Metairie they'll pick up everything, over here? Nothing. Neighbor has had a mattress out for two weeks at least, now.

I don't think that would be particularly good for the environment. At least it can become a habitat for turtles if I throw it in a lake.

Call the local shelter and give them the address

I don't understand your problem Karen. When we got a new mattress we stored the old one in the garage until the day before trash day then put it at the road. What else are you suppose to do with it? Go complain on nextdoor.

I put a mattress out by the road a few years ago and some random person picked it up within 30 minutes.
Not everything left by the street is for da garbit man.

This. I've only had bulk pickup once. I called to inform them and they picked it up right behind regular trash.
I call bulk pickup for my dumbass neighbors all the time. H

Very true. I put a broken table out lastnight and it was gone when I took the dog out just now. The buzzards leave nothing behind.

The OT taught me this is the solution when a mattress is left in the street.

I set mine out on the street as directed by the waste management company. Before they could show up, a poor white lady knocked on my door begging to have them. Said she'd been sleeping on a floor.

So your HOA doesn’t allow you to put trash out by the road to be picked up by a service that you’re already paying for? Sounds dumb.
