Do what you want in this free country. A manager kicking you out of a store for not wearing a mask or a police officer tickets/arrests you, good luck to them post covid violating your constitutional and civil rights.
IL just suspended the Governors extension of lockdown in court. Lawyers bout to make bank too, congratulations if you're in that field

No shirt
No shoes
No service
How's that different from also requiring a mask be worn?

is not the same as

A private business can set their terms of service.

So all it takes is some representative filing suit and a judge ruling in his favor to suspend the mandate? What’s stopping Louisiana from doing this?

okay let's play this a different way to wake you up.
cops arrest people at church
Free money. Cop fired and department sued.
Some of you mofos forget how good we have it.

Except the private business isn’t allowed to set their terms of service.

Yes they are. They can refuse service to anyone. They will have to deal with the court of public opinion, but they can do whatever they want.

I take it to mean the businesses are being restricted by the government so their terms (ie, being open) are out of their hands. That's a bigger violation of rights than removing a customer for not wearing a mask, IMO.

Most people alive today have never lived through anything of this magnitude, myself included. People who are alive that remember food rationing during wartime are likely close to death right now. That includes politicians, board executives, federal employees, and any other community leader.
We don't know how to act right now, and using the constitution, while it is the best guideline that currently exists, will prove to be flawed. It's a much different country than it was 80 years ago, and it might as well be a different world than it was when the constitution was written.
I hope like hell we fight to keep those same liberties. I understand the fear to which we succumb when there is disaster, especially those of us who have had it good our entire life (aka, the entire United States), but we should still retain the same liberties that separates America from every other country.

One call, that’s all.

If places try to make me wear a mask I’ll go elsewhere

Then I’ll take business somewhere else.
Places will be more busy without masks than with.

Agreed. If a business doesn't want me in their store if I'm not wearing a mask then I just won't shop there. The store downstairs implemented that policy just today so I took my business some place else.
