Per LDH Website

LDH provides one daily update each day at 12PM CT.

No idea what is happening with test numbers. The state reduced the testing count by 7,000 after their four-day "review".

Lafayette had “4” new cases over the last three days. Zero new deaths in almost a week. 244,390 people. Better open things up...

I would bet it has to do with multiple tests being used on the same person to determine recovery.

How do you remove 7000 cases, but no positive results?

All those 7000 cases were negative?

That's odd.

The worst is behind us, yes, assuming we don't frick it up.

It's a good feeling. I'm ready to be able to take my family out to some places. Ready for a date night with my wife.

There will be increased cases once things open up. Bank on it. We actually need it to spread (hopefully in a more controlled way) over the summer. Most people who get it won't even know. It is past time to open things up.

Two weeks since Easter so if tomorrow and Tuesday hold the same, I think a minor loosening of restrictions is good.

Though I think major office buildings should stay closed. Let people have a bit more freedom, monitor for 2 more weeks then loosen it more if no spike.

With very little threat to our medical system right now, we need to get some people out there to start working on some immunity numbers.

It's kind of aggravating that hospitalizations have gone up like 4 out of the last 7 days, but three of those days the increase has been negligible. Still an overall drop for the week. Plus, I'm positive we are waaaayyyy under capacity. And, vents are steadily dropping.

I don't put much faith in case #'s one way or the other because that depends on number of tests, where they were done, etc.

Yes but it is lower than the last couple sundays. I always compare the number of cases to the same day of the week.
