The situation in NO cries out for an antibody test experiment. The question is whether we will ever get one. A lot of people (including many who have been screaming for more testing) are down on the antibody sampling. The results that are coming back are undercutting the narrative.

The WHO has already gotten ahead stressing that there is no proof antibodies mean anything.
They have yet to say there is any evidence proving the contrary.

The report from the WHO sighted two statements from South Korea and China to support their claim.
South Korea said that 2% of the country’s recovered were reinfected.
China claims that between 5-10% of people proclaimed recovered had been reinfected.
That said, several experts have questioned whether these ’recovered’ patients could have been false negatives rather than recovered patients that were reinfected.
Why anyone would believe a fricking word out of China on this virus at this point is beyond me.

I’m going to need someone other than the WHO to convince me. I’m not believing a damn thing they put out.

Oh, so after weeks of hearing how important the antibody tests are they are no longer important? Got it.
I think it is important to have an idea of just how many in NO had this. And if you are saying getting it provides no immunity, then what does that say about the prospect of a vaccine?

All they are saying is that they don’t have any information yet about immunity, they aren’t saying there is not immunity. I think this was to get countries to avoid doing immunity passports which could have resulted in people trying to get infected to get a pass.

S Korea has leaned more to tests being somewhat flawed. Not able to detect low traces of the virus.
Same reason why people tested early showed negative.

Why did everyone downvote my idea for phasing a return to normalcy? Hmm...
And also, I've been working, but there are some nasty arse people in my building, so no, I don't want to go back to the office.

I didn't read or downvote it.
I've given up on logic winning against this virus.
