How did your weekend fishing go?

Mine sucked. Only caught one fish. Both depth finder’s sonars freeze and does small movements every 10 seconds. Hard to drop shot brush piles without working sonar. I am dreading calling Lowrance who will just tell me to do a hard reset...again. Also, I have water getting into my boat. I noticed a stream of water on starboard side when I was about to drive the boat. Great. My last trip out before today I had a dead battery that I just replaced.
Having some serious thoughts on selling my boat and just fishing with friends.

Maybe try a kayak if you’re fed up with boat maintenance.

Fished the Lake Campo out of Delacroix yesterday. Dirty water & windy- no fish. Many boats in the area all moving around not catching. Went to Lake Callabasse area and found a nice mixed bag in cleaner water.

Came in second of a little 5 boat tournament yesterday because the other 3 boats didn’t have a limit to weight in. My buddy fishing with me missed probably 10 hits on a buzz bait. I got 3 bits on a buzz bait and put all three in the boat. Funny how that works.

I always struggle in April. Some say postspawn is some of the best fishing, but I never had luck until they get into their summer spots. I'm mostly fishing bayous and marsh.

Caught 7 on Thursday. Kept 5. Let go a 5lb kicker. 2 on chatterbait, 1 on finesse worm, and 4 on a spinnerbait. Water was chocolate milk but I made the best of it.

Catfish in the river around Morgan City must be starting to bite. Must of had 20 boats between Conrad's and that rig this morning. Beautiful morning for sure.

Had planned to fish Chandeleur but wind fricked us bigly. Made the decision to stick close when we got a mile or two out of BSL. Ended up at Cat Island. Fought some wind and dirty water. Handful of fish and called it a day.

Not too bad. Caught 13 and kept 8 under the slot of 16” - 24”. Biggest was 20” ~4lbs that was thrown back. Fished from sunrise to noon

My son and I tried a bank spot for catfish this morning to get out of the house.
One nice channel cat and huge turtle.
