Sucked! Pulled boat from Laffy to Dularge, had a blowout after I got off 90 in Bayou Black. Proceed to take dad and bro in law fishing, about 45 mins into fishing, start seeing lightning, pick up and haul@ss. Get to launch and ram boat on trailer, bent the winch and roller mount. 2 hard heads all we caught. Prob about $500.00 in the hole now! Need to sell all this and just charter from now on! Haha

Went to hopedale, caught 12 trout and a few sheepshead and bass. Ive never seen so many people there, the long rocks didn't have one open spot the whole way up and down. Started to get windy and called it a day

Any reports if the sheepshead are still at the near shore rigs?

Very tempted to try to make a run out there tomorrow.

7-8 redfish and a few bass in Delacroix. I probably missed another 10 because the wind was blowing so hard it was keeping my spoon on top of the water. I was really excited to finally do some sight fishing with no clouds but the wind never let up.

Caught a mix of trout, reds and flatties in big lake. Wind sucked, post-frontal and rising pressure.

Boats were everywhere on Calcasieu today. There people parked 100yards down the road because the parking lot was full. I am over dealing with that shite show for a while.

Do ya'll eat bass? My grandad always spoke poorly of their taste and we mostly just stuck with crappie and catfish. I have never tried bass.

Went out with a buddy to some land in upper Plaqumines Parish. Spotted the a pig within the first 3 minutes of walking. Stalked to 20 yards and drilled him.

Very dark GoPro footage

Ended up seeing 4-5 more pigs, made one more stalk to 46 yards but got busted on the draw.

Porter Dog was very intrigued

Cutters

Fried up the perch and catfish that were caught on Saturday

Your grandad just didn't want you keeping them. Bass taste wonderful. My personal hierarchy for fried taste of fish I catch:
Sacalait
Bass/Speckled Trout
Small redfish
Chinquapin
Other Bream

Catfish

Raises hands, not sure where all of the boats were. Imagine the wiers were a zoo similar to 4th weekend.
Think I walked less in Denver airport than yesterday at Pt.

Caught over 150 bass. Maybe more. Burned through every watermelon colored soft plastic I had. Incredible weekend fishing some lakes at my camp.

if you ain't thinking about selling a boat its probably 'cause you don't own one. Don't do it though....you'll be buying one in 6 months. I have accepted the fact that I have to have a boat...even if sits in the yard collecting dirt and going to rack and ruin....I am happier knowing the damned thing is there than I am when I know it ain't.....

I don't particularly like them or bream....crappie are the best eating fresh water fish in my opinion and snook are the best inshore fish...although tripletail and sheepshead are real close...I used to really love catfish but outside of some lakes and rivers I can't hardly ear farm raised catfish for some reason any longer and most wild caught catfish tend to be pretty nasty also.

ALl of the snappers and grouper are great....I like kings, Spanish and cerro macks but a lot of people don't....also like dolphin and tuna...wahoo may be the best eating of all the pelagics and heads and shoulders the best mackeral….don't care for sails, marling or swordfish and don't like permit....people who like permit love it...its like lean pork to me....fun to catch though. Their little cousin Pompano are very good also..

Hopedale yesterday. Caught 18 nice trout and a flounder. All in artificial. Had to weave in and out of boats trolling down Long rocks.

Taking the 5 and 6 year old bream fishing this weekend for the second time. They now have "real" fishing poles and are super excited!

West Galveston Bay.......SUCKED!

fricking wind has been awful. And, the bait shop had live shrimp that were too small for the damn hooks.

Caught a few but all undersized.

Hang in there. I’ve been on a run of bad luck with my trailer. Thought I was past it then last week motor wouldn’t start after it started and ran great to my fishing spot 30 minutes from launch. Then it wouldn’t start. Now it’s at the shop. I don’t think I’ll get it back by the weekend.

If that ain’t the truth. I sold my last boat with the intention of buying a new one later. Well, it was sooner than later that I pulled the trigger and bought another one.
