Clam chowder with extra oyster crackers.

It's cold and rainy outside, and it seems as though we're looking at another month of this quarantine shite, so I need comfort food.

Us and another family bought two sacks of crawfish. It turned into 6 families and 5 sacks as the afternoon progressed.

12 adults and 16 kids later, we all are boiled crawfish with fixins and managed to maintain 6’ separation between each other.

Homemade chicken stock, mirepoix, a can of rotel, and lentil "soup" (it's pretty thick, but awesome), with crostini.

I realized after I took the pic that the parsley garnish was upside down.

This dinner cost me less than $2.

I have a ceramic, G baby. I miss it, but I don’t feel like hauling it to Houston.

I would have just gotten a 2nd ceramic instead of a pellet, but I’m likely moving to a dog-friendly place before long and don’t want to move a ceramic here either.

Ceramic will end up back with me when I figure out where I’ll be a little more permanently.

Dece looking brisket, Sherm
