If a fraction of what is being leaked is still in the bill, then Republicans and Trump should be ashamed. They should’ve demanded a clean bill with no pork.

Trump should’ve held a prime time address and gone line by line with the bullshite they put in there.

Instead he’s bragging about “only” giving $25 million to the Kennedy Center, instead of $35 million.

Newsflash: that means they only wanted $25 million.

The Republicans let themselves get boxed in a corner by the Democrats. They should’ve never let this bill even get to this point.

This is disgusting.

Trump is in a no win situation. He needs something passed quickly.

What if it allows DJT to win re-election and the R’s to at least hold the Senate?

And let’s be honest Pelosi is not sure who she is when she looks in the mirror!, and is not contributing to any negotiations.

Worst concept ever. It’s like saying “I’m in pain! Do something!” and someone hits you across the face with a hammer. “I did something!”

We seal our fate with the deficits Obama ran up. We’ve hastened our demise with these deficits. Disgraceful.

No one out-negotiated the president.

It comes down to whether Donald Trump wanted to restart the economic engine more than he wanted to waste time arguing with petulant children.

And he will use it on the campaign trail to show how out of touch the Dems are.

"They were fighting for $35 million for the Kennedy Center which has nothing to do with fighting the CHY NA virus. I gave them $25 so we could help the American people and get this country moving. They were more worried about the Kennedy Center and funding the arts than they were with funding you."

let's see what's in it...

I mean, you have to get along

but what parts did the GOP get they wanted and the Dems "gave into"

is there even one instance of Dems comprimising?

sadly, Trump is kind of out of it...I mean this is Congress all the way

Sure Trump could throw gas on the situation but it's a big risk during a time like this...

hopefully, there is tremendous over-sight with public visibility of where this money goes

and if Dems abuse it for BS agenda stuff, while Americans struggle, I can tell you, they are dead ducks in the next couple of elections if the GOP has any balls to promote what they did

No.

Just no.

It's bad enough we are doing a trial run of Yang's proposal, but now we are cool with buckets of bullshite attached to a virus bill.

me: [dying of coronavirus]

doctor: I'm sorry, it... it seems like we are unable to save you

me: [whispers something]

doctor: what's that?

me: thank... thank god that...

doctor: thank god for what?

me: [with my last breath] thank god that the kennedy center was saved

Exactly! And the dems depend on it. And, obviously, can still count on it.

It's called negotiating. When you want that car real bad at a decent price, you have to horse trade in order to get it and in most case since you do want it badly you will give up something you don't want to.
