We the American people need something passed quickly. The fact the Kennedy center got 25 million means the republicans know the people need the bill passed and instead of fighting and prolonged negotiations, went with it as it was for the most part. Anyone with half a brain can see who wanted what. If you asked me a week ago, I wouldn’t vote for trump but now itd take an act of Congress and a major debacle to change my mind.

The dems “gave into” helping Americans at all.
Any relief, no matter what pork is attached, will be viewed favorably by voters and the gop will be rewarded. The dems couldn’t really fight it but they knew the republicans wanted this bad, so they tried to at least get some crony money out of it.
If the democrats got what they truly wanted, there would be no stimulus for the gop to tout.
Romney threw everyone for a loop by suggesting the original 1k check to all Americans. For all the shite he’s rightfully given, publicly saying that put the initiative squarely with Republicans.
