respectfully disagree. My biggest issue with this administration so far is negotiating budgets with Dems. They strong arm him every time. We desperately need control of the house in the following election to kill shite like the Kennedy Center, NPR, and etc...

He needs to go back and reread the Art of the Deal - because the Omnibus and the Relief Bill were Democratic suppositories shoved up the administrations arse. Other than that, he has handled this situation gallantly. Nobody is perfect.

You're not wrong....but you can't start talking about all the shite you are going to do about the problem (checks, payroll tax cut, etc) in the press conference before the bill even gets started if your going to take a wait and see approach (which would have been right here).

What if it allows DJT to win re-election and the R’s to at least hold the Senate?

This. They’ll axe it all then.

Would never happen happen. No spending bill of this size is ever completely pork free. Both sides do it too. The Kennedy Center stuff is dumb but it is only $25 million out of $2 trillion.

They could have perhaps did.

So what?

The opposition party runs the House. The opposition party runs the House and the media, and Hollywood and all the major cities.

If you want to lay down a case for predicting the future and what would of happened if DJT had refused everything but a 100% clean bill go ahead.

Not really. If he can point to the craziness Dems are insisting on as the reason for the hold up, he is winning.

nah.. this was a perfect opportunity to point out how dysfunctional our government is. nothing is more important at this time than getting past this coronavirus shite. instead, politicians use this as a way to fund bullshite pet projects and give themselves raises.

Ok. why do you cut that $25 million check.

What is threshold value for acceptable wasted tax dollars?

You say this like Trump has leverage...he has 0 leverage.

The majority in the Senate isn't worth a shite right now. All the power resides in the House and regardless of what you think of Pelosi she has been pretty damn good at whipping her members to the line (even AOC and her merry band of idiots for the most part)....now she's even running Schumer and his crew.

Trump has leverage. Show the American people the bullshite in the bill and that's all the leverage he needs.

Protect it for what? If you’re just going to surrender to your oppositions wishes, and implement their policies, what’s the use in “winning”? So you can say “yay team!!?” I don’t get it.

That doesn't get budgets agreed to or bills passed today....that won't force Pelosi's hand.

Could it get her voted out sure....but when is that 2021, 22, 23???? She's damn near dead anyway she don't give a shite.
