Brady being interviewed by panthers is very bad.

I’m not sure how familiar most of you are with NFL owners but Brady being interviewed by the panthers is terrible news for LSU. David Tepper is an extremely rich prick. The guy just signed the highest contract the NFL has ever seen to a coach who has never coached an NFL game. 7 years 60 million. I’m pretty sure the next closest for a college coach is like 4 or 5 million a year in the first contract. He is willing to spend really any amount of money. He’s the richest owner in the NFL. If LSU loses Brady then this will be on Woodward for not extending him three months ago.
Let me make this clear, if the panthers want him then he is gone. This is the worst possible team that could interview Brady. There is no way LSU could possibly match their price.

Everything isn't always about money.

Guess what...if Woodward signed him 3 months ago, Brady would still interview with the panthers

First, LSU could match - to a point.
Second, you never see this sort of excitement and passion for an NFL team.
Third, he wouldn't have his choice of nubile coeds in Charlotte.

You have to know LSU only had Brady for a very short time after the job he did with this offense. He is on every team's wish list. LSU will be OK.

I will hate Carolina even more than I do now

This is not accurate. He is extremely rich, but not a prick.

Woodward cant force him to sign a contract, and he put together a plan for this months ago.
Secondly, even if we signed him to an extension, he could forego it and sign with an nfl team the next day. College extensions mean nothing

If Brady wants to go to the NFL bad enough there is nothing Woodward can do about ir

The stupidity of some of our fans is amazing. Do you think a contract will stop a NFL team if they want Brady and he wants to leave? LSU could have him under contract for 20 years and it wouldn't matter. Contracts can be bought out. No coach is going to sign a contract that doesn't give him a out if he wants to leave for the NFL.
Also while Brady has been very important. Now that this offense has been installed I am confident in SE to call plays and run it. YOu do realize that to a degree Brady's impact is being over stated? Yes he has been very important from bring in some of the spread schemes and installing some saints stuff. But LSU's offense hasn't reinvented the wheel. While the concepts are important what is making this work so well is the talent on the field and a generational QB.

He is only 30. He is just going thru the process for the interview experience. He isn’t gonna jump just because it’s the first NFL gig possibility. But, he is the hottest thing going in college football so this maybe his chance to cash in. Not only monetarily, but professionally. One more year though and if our offense continues to flourish he will be able to be more picky. That is what he wants. When you can pick and choose your next job that is what it’s all about! Either way, he won’t be at LSU forever so let’s just cherish the time we have with him!

Dude STFU. Let’s make this clear, Brady is obviously smarter than you. Geez man are we going to have to hear this every time there’s some interest for Brady? It’s going to be ok. Please stop freaking out every single time interest comes for this guy.

We know this has been beat to death all day yesterday about Tepper...he is filthy rich and LSU wont be able to compete with that...use the search button

The Carolina HC & Brady have the same agent, so this was expected. Smart to leverage one against the other to max a contract. I really do not read anything into an interview. He would do that regardless of where he was working. If the Tiger contract includes an “OC in waiting” clause, guessing he stays in BR for awhile.

Let’s get this straight. Brady didn’t “run” this offense. Sure, he had plenty of input, influence and design, but I have full confidence in the rest of the staff to keep this juggernaut rolling. Steve E is smarter than he’s been given credit. I believe a lot of what we’ve seen this year was because O loosened up the reigns and allowed the offensive coaches freedom to let it fly. Plus Burrow of course!
