Remind your children that suicide is never the answer. Tell them to talk to someone or call the SUICIDE hotline if they are too uncomfortable talking to someone they know.

Hope this does not become as popular as it once was, had three schoolmates in a small town do this in the 80's, so sad.

That really sucks. I wish they had an opportunity to talk to someone.

Any news outlet reporting it yet?

Do you have a name or a source?

ETA: By the downvotes I see that I’ve been insensitive. That wasn’t my intention. I am sorry.

Suicide is awful.

I've lost my sister to it and had myself committed for suicidal thoughts.

We really need to make mental health an acceptable topic so people aren't so scared to step up and say they need help.

I feel just awful for this family.

He went to St George then CHS. Apparently the father committed suicide a few years back.

Prayers to the family.

I have a dear friend that has a Sr at Catholic.

Edit:
So I share that a close friend of mine has a Sr at Catholic High and I get 20+ downvotes?

I knew a fairly popular guy and family and he committed suicide in his home on a Friday night.
I don't think the family ever recoverd. I knew his grandfather well at the time and he was devastated

Could happen anywhere. I remember when my little sister was a SR at Central High a few girls had a suicide pact and something like 3-4 girls killed themselves in a few weeks.

My girlfriend at the time was friends with one of the girls and I was friends with her older brother. A sad sad situation indeed. I know a few details that I won’t share on here and it was a horrible event all the way around.

This sucks to hear about this student and his poor family.

Yeah that was messed up. Maybe 1998 or so? It was definitely past my time. Sad.

Knew a guy 2 years younger in h.s. who did that. Hung himself from the same tree his father had several years earlier, younger brother tried to do the same a few years later, mom caught him in time.

Fact is that there were no signs this was going on in each's head. All seemed to have the world by the tail.
