So get that boy a chicken. Let him chase it around the backyard. Celebrate him when he catches it and he will have a blast.

I don't have any pets now, but when I was a kid I had both a dog and a cat, and my parents ALWAYS filled stockings for them on Christmas.

I think it's neat, and when I have pets again they will definitely get a visit from Santa.

My dogs think I'm the greatest person that ever walked the earth.

I have to keep the delusion going, so they get Christmas presents. This year it's rubber chicken squeaky toy and a tube of tennis balls. And I'll start giving them deer scraps later in the day.

I do. Helps distract him while others are opening gifts. kinda like letting your youngest child open up a gift first so they are somewhat calm for 10 minutes.

Our dog gets a new bed every couple of years for Christmas. I usually get a big rawhide for her too. FWIW her bday is the day after Christmas so it works out well replacing her old worn out things with new ones.

Dog has his own stocking and always gets treats.

We usually do something small for his bday too.

My mom always buys my dog a toy, even though I’ve told her for years he won’t play with toys.

I get some candy canes for the horses and a few treats for the dog.

So does ours.

Every pet my family ever had while I was growing up had a Christmas stocking.

We do but our dog doesn’t appreciate it. Just another day to her.

Our guy likes everyone being together and happy. He doesn't care about the stuff despite having a stocking and whatnot.

Any toy that resembles an animal gets taken outside and left immediately, he's got no tolerance for rivals in the house

My wife gets the dog so many toys all of the time but especially around Christmas. The dog is so used to getting gifts and toys that she thinks every damn Amazon box delivered this time of year has something for her inside of it.

And you celebrate. Clean it, cook it, and give him a Christmas Feast.
