Two kinds of people ride motorcycles:

1. People that have been to the hospital
2. People that are going to the hospital

Never understood why people ride those stupid things.

Not a chance in hell I’d ride one on streets. Lost two buddies already

Hell no. Just yesterday I saw some a-hole on the interstate tailgating a motorcycle like he was trying to scrape dingleberries off his arse. It made my hair stand on end.

Actually even this is too risky. I had a friend that was just considering riding a motorcycle and got taken out by a soccer mom texting. Broke his back and legs and he needed a brain transplant.

I had my Triumph motorcycle all picked out, but my wife said no! She took into consideration the 2 friends we know killed on bikes, another that lost a leg and several others that are still feeling effects from injuries years later... I guess maybe she had a point...so will just stick to enjoying cars.

If you buy one, please-please do a donor card. There are so many who could use your kidneys, liver and heart. Lots of non-motorcycle riders die each year waiting for someone to take a Harley out. Hurts when the rider didn't have a donor card.

I use to drive a Honda shadow. Loved it. Then one day some dumb arse old lady pulled out in front of me. I locked up both wheels, and nearly fishtailed into her. She looked up at me like she could care less.

That was enough for me

The number one rule of motorcycle riding:

The question is not if you will be involved in an accident. The question is when. Severity of accident to be determined at time of incident(s).

Ride long enough. You're going down at some point.

I get the appeal, I just don't think the appeal would ever match up to the risk enough to make it attractive to me.

Seen two dead riders on the side of the highway over the past year. It's an incredibly risky hobby and I'll never understand the allure. Go buy a fricking convertible if you want to feel the wind rush by you while driving.

If you have to ask "if it's worth the risk" then it's not.

I had quite a few, but we're talking pre 90's. Gave the last 2 away because one was an expensive to fix dinosaur and the other I had outlived. Loved them all dearly in my time.

Pretty much dead on right and, no, You never will understand.

Sitting on nearly nothing that has too much h.p. going down the road is either in your blood or not.

I had a weakness for dirt bikes too. I had to stop after my 3rd trip to the E.R.

I rode for a few years when I lived in ATL. I had a blast riding the N GA mountains and did it nearly every weekend. There’s something positively exhilarating about the experience.

Then I lost three acquaintances to motorcycle accidents in a little over a year. All were experienced bikers and sadly none were at fault.

Sold my bike in 2005. Haven’t rode since. I do miss it from time to time.

Used to love riding dirt bikes off-road. Some scraps, burns and broken bones, but never saw anyone get killed on one out there.

Never felt safe riding one on gravel or at high speeds on a highway.

I ride my motorcycle everywhere in spring and summer. I am defensive and act like I’m invisible. It is a risk I am willing to take
