Is anyone still blown away that no defense has been able to find our tendencies?

That’s incredible to me. I mean there must be a level of detail behind the scenes that is unmatched in college football.
I would say the only tendency I’ve seen kind of figured out is hurry up zone read on 3rd and short, but usually our line just bulldozes their way to a first down.

The last few games we've seen a lot more of Joe improvising and I think that is because defenses have been taking away his first read.
But they still can't stop it.

The layered routes are the biggest challenge. Most college offenses run 2D routes. LSU’s running 3D multiple level underwater chess routes.
Someone underneath, someone up top, then you hit Jefferson in the middle around 12 yards.

It means (1) we self-scouted ourselves well and often, and (2) our scheme in the hands of a guy like Burrow, who has the pre- and post-snap reads/progressions down pat, is a thing of beauty.

I think there's a difference between knowing what's coming and being able to stop it. We've got some of the best talent in the country. I agree that a lot of planning goes into the scheme on our end and mixing things up. But the way this team is playing, we could essentially tell the defense what's coming and they still might not be able to stop it. If everyone on the offense does their job, we will continue to put up numbers.
Our receivers, for example.. There's probably not a single team out there that has the DBs that can match our top 3 receivers.

Really the biggest problem you have defending LSU is you can’t stop everyone. That’s a problem when the QB hits 80% of his passes.
LSU has 3 #1 receivers, a tight end, and a running back who can catch passes. If you somehow cover everyone Joe Burrow is going to scramble for the 1st down. You simply can’t stop LSU when the QB is hitting passes at 80%.

With Joe’s accuracy, they are unstoppable!

I don't think you have a lot of "tendencies" when you have a QB capable of adjusting pre-snap AND post-snap, PLUS the ability to just make a play when everything breaks down.
No doubt Brady's scheme has been terrific, but Burrow makes it elite. Multiple opposing coaches have said you can have everything covered. Have your guys exactly where you want them, and Burrow + the WR's/Clyde STILL make a play.
I'm just going to enjoy it because I don't know if we'll ever see this high a level of execution again

LSU tends to score.

Plus Clyde in the flats as a safety valve
Teams know the tendencies at this point
We just have the weapons and the QB that executes so well you can’t fricking stop it

How do you figure out moss blocking out two DBs?

It also helps that our offensive line has finally gelled and are all healthy and not suspended. Imagine if we had gotten Ingram back this year.
Georgia was the best defense LSU played all year. A ton of the catches were contested and they did a very good job shutting down the running game. Burrow is just that good and he had time to throw.

Teams definitely know what we're trying to do, but stopping us from doing it is a whole different animal.

A college team with this level of execution is almost unheard of. You almost never see our receivers confused about where to line up, what to do, etc

Agreed. This is where the talent comes into play. We have more weapons than even the best teams can defend -- and thankfully we have a QB who can find them and get them the ball.

There are teams in the NFL that cannot stop the Saints knowing exactly what is coming. We are running an offensive very close to it, and so I have zero expectations that a college team will stop it this year. This is something you need an entire off-season to game plan just to slow it down. I firmly feel that if we were to lose, it would be a 45-43 type game where we also didn't stop their offensive. It won't be because we only score 14 points or anything.

This is the answer. Toooo many weapons to combat.

It's Joe and the WRs. They are playing at an NFL level but it all starts with B and E. Joe takes the B and E game plan, studies film like a pro, leads his WRs in parallel and applies it to the dance floor.
It's the norm from Sunday to Sunday in the NFL. You typically have the best on best. Joe and the WRs are just applying level B NFL preparation to the college level. I say level B NFL because when football becomes a full time job for Joe he will be a better QB at the next level. It's just that level B NFL preparation by Joe and LSU's talented WRs are far superior to anything currently in college football.
