And you don't think Auburn could say the same?

Auburn had 287 yards of offense and LSU had 508 yards of offense and LSU ended up with just 3 more points.

Auburn had zero drives of more than 25 yards that failed to result in points.

LSU had 4 drives of more than 25 yards, including 3 of more than 40 yards, that failed to result in points.

So no, I don't think Auburn could say that they and LSU were equally inefficient regarding their use of scoring opportunities.

UGa did a good job of taking away CEH in the run game. A lot is Joe’s ability to buy time.

It’s still amazing but I imagine E, Brady and Joe are looking at doing some tweaking.

Brady and Burrow make you defend the ENTIRE field and ALL offensive players. We throw to ALL eligible receivers, run the ball well with CEH, Joe runs as needed, good luck defending that.

How much must it suck for opposing teams when Joe throws a key first down pass to McMath or Dillon?
The TD to McMath in the MSU game was a game changer that must have had MSU coaches just shaking their heads.

We’re just to good at attacking defenses and talk what they give us.

Joe is confident throwing to guys in 1-1 coverage, we have a safety valve player almost always, and Joe just knows what he’s doing.

Our splits and motions make it hard to disguise coverages.

We certainly have tendencies but the problem for defenses is no matter what they do we have an answer. With a QB like Burrow we have the pen last in the X and O matchup.

If you rush 3 and drop 8 Burrow has all day and our WRs are too good in the scramble drill for opposing DBs to cover that long.

If you send 4 and drop 7 and play zone now Burrow hits those 10-12 in breaking routes that Jefferson is so deadly on.

If you play M2M Burrow find the matchup he likes and gives his guy a chance. Our WRs are too good to be left on an island.

If you send 5 or 6 Burrow is just going to throw hot to Clyde or one of those quick slants and now you have a LB 1v1 with CEH or a safety or LB 1v1 with Jefferson or Moss. Burrow can also throw it deep in these situations because there will be no safety help.

If you try to play 2 high safeties all the time but use them as run fitters will RPO you to death. If you play 2 high and keep them deep you are 1 gap short in run fits.

This offense is so tough to stop bc Burrow is so darn efficient and smart with the football.

With a QB throwing almost 80%, it is near impossible to stop. See Brees and Brady. Even though the WR is covered pretty well, if you are accurate you can still get the ball to them.

Another sign of a great offense: lack of trick/gimmick plays. Have we run any this year?

Does the Joe Burrow pass to himself count?

Yeah, only visible weakness is when they run out of space in the redzone against talented defenses. They struggled some redzone against UGA and a lot vs Auburn. Maybe just a lack of a goalie run game is only weakness but they haven't really tried to run one either

Because we don't have any tendencies

absolutely. there have been very few plays for the whole season, much less in individual games where the defense had a definite advantage.

it seems like we always know where to go with the ball.

the rub routes have been a thing of beauty

Personnel makes this scheme nearly unstoppable.
QB - JB
RB - CEH (add his ability to pick up blitzes)
WR - Chase, Jefferson, Marshall
TE - Moss
OL - unit that does NOT let opposing front 7 dominate them, or even stalemate them 50% of the time.

How many times have we seen JB survey the field, not get what he wants, and then throw the ball to an open option? This cadre of OFF players are totally in-synch for execution and adjustments. Simply stated, it has been dominating, fun to watch, and it's not over.
