I think it all boils down to the fact that LSU has pro-caliber skill position players running a pro-caliber offense, and Coach E and Coach Brady find the weaknesses (physical and mental) of a few key defensive players that every college defense has, and exploits those players mercilessly.

Even when defenses take everything away on a given play, Burrow can buy time in the pocket and wait for someone to come open, or simply run to the open spaces caused by so many receivers being out in their routes.

What's interesting (and really impressive) to me is the fact that defense can't stop LSU from owning the middle of the field. It's what LSU wants to do (and does best), and it can't be stopped.

I don't think opponents have failed to pick up on tendencies. The execution has just been too good for them

Really the biggest problem you have defending LSU is you can’t stop everyone. That’s a problem when the QB hits 80% of his passes.

This. You can do a lot when you have a QB that can thrown accurately

Kirby Smart brought this up after the game. We have pretty much the same personnel out there every play on offense. They will be lined up differently but we don't tip our hand very much based on who is in there.

Yep, it all comes down to Brady. His performance this year has been off the charts.

Hey my team played you guys in Baton Rouge. Was Auburn not your toughest opponent?
23-20?
No excuses we just couldn't beat you.

Brady and Burrow make you defend the ENTIRE field and ALL offensive players. We throw to ALL eligible receivers, run the ball well with CEH, Joe runs as needed, good luck defending that.

I think the thing that made AU more challenging is the excellent D-line that allowed such a non conventional scheme.

You saw UGA try to implement something similar and Burrow had all day to throw

We had 508 yards of total offense. The game was only interesting because we shot ourselves in the foot.

On top of our WRs and Moss, Clyde can run any pass route, from any eligible on the field, and has great hands. How do stop that? Nobody has the personnel for that.

The versatility of Clyde is a matchup nightmare, the three wides are better than any DBs we have played, Moss is an asset in the run and pass game, the OL is blocking like crazy. And then you have Joe Burrow, having one of the best seasons in the history of college football.

It isn't a matter of scheme, they know WHAT we are doing, just listen to Kirby and Jimbo.....they know what we are doing and they do some of the same things in their offenses.

To put it in coach speak "they cant fricking stop it".

He did not say "they dont have a clue what we are doing"

Blitzing is poison to opposition. UGA rushed 3, 4, 5 and freaking 6 and it made no difference. They did play really good in the defensive backfield, and that helped but it was limited.

The layered routes are the biggest challenge. Most college offenses run 2D routes. LSU’s running 3D multiple level underwater chess routes.

Someone underneath, someone up top, then you hit Jefferson in the middle around 12 yards.

and if that all fails, CEH is usually open or Burrow can run for 5-15yds.

LSU's tendency is to knock you the F OUT!

Georgia did the best thing you can do, which is cover well and limit yards after catch (interestingly, bama did not).

Why? The Saints and the Patriots have been destroying NFL defenses for over a decade with this offense.

When you have the right (GOAT) QB it's unstoppable.

Listen to Vilma talk about it on ESPN. He talks about the nuance that college football just can't handle unless you have a guy like Burrow.

No.

Auburn had 287 yards of offense and your 1 turnover was a beautiful interception by Stingley. LSU gift-wrapped a TD for Auburn when Stingley had an unforced fumble on a punt return deep in our territory.

Pretty much what one of the guys on ESPN said. Who do you think if you neglect them they won’t beat you?
