Honestly, none of the above. That generation has been living on credit, which is why can’t stop and retire. They are broke.
Sure can't take it with you. I'm guessing Millennials are wanting an inheritance to live off of?

still remember my idiot guidance counselor in high school... "just get a degree and you're golden! ANY degree! Do whatever it takes -- loans, plasma, doesn't matter! GOLDEN!"

Didn't the graph show how much wealth they have? Do they have wealth or are they broke?
The vast majority of boomers have nothing.
The entire argument against boomers is asinine.

I also think there's a lot to be said about the amount of shite we have today that we can buy. If you give a millenial today the retail and utility options of 1975, they'd likely spend a lot less money.
You don't HAVE to have a huge truck, huge house, expensive phone and plan, etc. If someone today lived like someone did in 1975, you could save an incredible amount of money.

There’s still gonna be nearly 20 million boomers around in 2050?
And we'll be on our 16th consecutive term with a Boomer president. Yay!!!

I can picture them all now, probably a decent combined income, mortgaged to the hilt, 1000 dollar iphones, out to eat 4 times a week, mortgage on 85K dollar suburban and F250.
20 year note on a 75k dollar bass boat, side by sides, closets full of clothes etc......

Wealth is not finite. Boomers aren’t hoarding it. You can go get your own

Yeah that's not true. If you didnt have a cellphone or cable bill but paid twice as much in childcare and three times as much for college and medical care you still end up losing money.

The irony here is boomers already received their parents inheritance at this point, but criticize millenials for not getting theirs- mainly because boomers are still breathing.

Why/how would it benefit boomers to have tuition skyrocket after they were out of school? Their kids were IN school?
It's their direct doing because they were the generation in control of this:

Boomers must have just worked so much harder than the rest of us...
Most Dad's when I was growing up (boomers) had a main job and then worked another job in the evening and maybe one on the weekend. Until my Dad was about 35 he did this and then finally started making enough at his main job to quit his evening job. He worked the weekend job until about 40 years old. The generations that came after are soft, and I include myself in that.

I would still think most millennials are spending significantly more of their money on cell phones, cable, streaming services, iTunes, etc. than the yare on medical care at age 35; the college tuition and more people going to college than ever before is still a good point against being able to save by living like it's '75

For the last time, they are comparing it at the age of 35. Go back to school and learn how to interpret graphs.

Plus, we're just nihilistic enough to take them both with us when we decide we've had enough.

Sure it is. Everything is finite, except maybe the universe (we're not sure about that one yet). Are you confusing the terms finite and static? Total wealth is not static. Total wealth can be increased, but it's always finite.

1 group has had 50 years to collect wealth, one has had 30, the other less than about 10. It's only an issue if you have an attitude of entitlement and instant gratification.
This supposed wealth disparity is just encouragement for the young to vote for socialistic policies, which I promise you will just make everyone who could have wealth much poorer.
