The question was

quote:

Who do we want as our X receiver for the first half?

A couple of responses.

quote:

Whomever the best blocker is. We will run all over them.

quote:

You really think that D won't give up yards? They can't get a pass rush, which is the thing that most throws Fromm off his game, and if he's patient receivers, backs, and TEs will get open. That's why everyone with even an average O-line moves the ball against them.

Plus they can't stop the run. Pick UGA in this game because the Dawgs will win both lines of scrimmage and on balance have comparable if not slightly better athletes.

Dang, I guess all fan bases are delusional.

Watching games or not I am not sure how they can say this.

I remember years ago when the Xbox One was coming out and they were pitching this "always online" functionality and people were losing their minds. Microsoft course corrected but the damage was done, and even years down the road people didn't wan the Xbone because "you always have to be online".

This is what's happening here. With players stepping up and Aranda switching things around, we are now generating regular pressure. But all anyone is hearing is the old "LSU has no defense" narrative. Going to be a slap to the face for sure.

This is only the fans. I'm sure Kirby and the team are aware of what LSU can do. It's funny nonetheless.

I really think Aranda will have something he has not shown all year for this game scheme wise that will frustrate Fromm all day...

I do think UGA goes very run heavy Saturday. Control the ball, control the clock and get manageable 3rd downs. Last year they were shredding us running the ball and gave up on the run way too early.

The key for us is to get an early lead and to not let up. Force UGA to press more offensively. If they slow the game down and take our momentum away this game will go into the 4th a toss up.

Stay aggressive start to finish and put it away.

If you just listen to ESPN and don’t actually watch the games this is the kind of things you say. He will understand in about 50 hours or so. Because we comin’.

The funny part is, whoever posted that hasn't watched LSU all season. He's repeating what he heard someone else say. He's assuming our lines are weak. He has no clue. It boggles my mind how some people can be so confident based on nothing.

They have a great offensive line and their DL is playing well. I'm not sure they "win" both lines, but they will likely be very competitive on both lines during the game.

We have some depth issues at safety (and, heck, corner if you want to know the truth about it - at least experienced depth), but - athlete-for-athlete, skill player for skill player, LSU has THE BEST players in CFB.

Period. Full stop. #NoHomer

more responses from that very same thread:

quote:

I'm setting myself up for disappointment, but I'm hoping Tyler Simmons steps up.

quote:

It won’t be pretty regardless of who we line up out there. LSU will go press man and completely eliminate our receivers. Their DBs are by the far the best we will have seen.

quote:

(previous quote)*We will run all over them.*

What have you seen from this year's team that gives you reason to say this?

I guess you can make anyone sound delusional if you only pick and choose to reinforce what point you're trying to shoehorn.

Keep in mind the thread was an extremely specific one about one position for us for one half. 95% of UGA fans expect us to lose this game, while it seems like 95% of LSU fans can't possibly fathom any way you can possibly lose. I'd say we're being quite realistic about saturday.

Auburn and MSU are both better rushing offenses than UGA, and they combined to score 36 points on LSU.

These UGA fans thinking they're just going to run the ball to victory are going to be very disappointed on Saturday.

A lot of offenses we have faced are more sophisticated than UGA’s. UGA’s offense is too one dimensional and they haven’t really been able to develop a passing game all season long. Georgia is going to have to score at least 30 points if they want to beat us because we’re scoring at least 30 points on Saturday. I can not see Georgia’s offense doing that. LSU wins 41-24

And this is why we will blitz early and often, WR core is depleted and we will spy Swift, if lsu puts up some points early, this game may get UGly, Js!!

UGA is an over rated program that plays in the weak side of the conference. They will be exposed this Saturday.

Well Janky fans are gonna fan.

If Murph on top billings breakdown of where LSU will abuse them didn't sink in when I posted it on tSEC rant didn't open their eyes nothing else will.

I did my part to educate them but I stopped trying after they kept literally bringing Lecounte as a strength in coverage. The film showed he would be Joe's favorite target. Didn't matter, UGA greatest defense EVAR!
