Didn’t hear the clip, but he’s not wrong. Aranda is more than compensated to figure out what is going on and fix it. This week won’t be a good barometer because of how terrible Arky is, but TAMU should be a decent test

Why is the salary Aranda's fault? Orgeron was the one who fought to keep him and get him that pay raise.

He is a great DC who should be doing better. It's one thing to get lit up by an elite team because of how the game favors the offenses but it's another to get lit up by mediocre teams that are one dimensional. Could be a scheme issue and trying to implement new schemes mid season/late season is tough. I'd expect a new scheme if thats what they try to do during the bowl game.

So he's not going in on Aranda then. He's going in on LSU. It's completely on LSU. I don't blame Aranda one bit for being grossly overpaid.

This idea that because someone gets paid a lot there fore his team/side whatever should be infallible is silly and shows a lack of understanding about how the world works. If you want to criticize him because of the way the defense has played, especially in the 2nd half fine, but it’s not going to get “fixed” at this point in the season. They can do something’s to tighten up but just because he’s paid a lot this unit is not going to magically turn into the 2003 or 2011 D. That said as long as we win, who cares? The D has made key stops when they had to and a lot of the really bad has been when we had big leads

Look at our recruiting class because that's a reflection of team needs. What position is being put at a premium? That's why we are struggling.

Paying a guy 2.5 isn’t going to make our defense better
I like Aranda, for the most part I haven’t hated his play calling. Sometimes you just have liabilities.
But last game was lots Of mental errors and issues.
We gotta make sure we get it together these next two games.

It's hard to deal with an unusual offense like the one Ole Miss was running when you only have a week to implement new plans.
Several teams have struggled vs Ole Miss this year. Auburn, aTm, Bama, LSU. Rich Rod isn't an idiot. JRP just can't throw worth a lick yet.
But, it's more of what we have learned about how other defenses have handled Vandy, Texas, Miss State, and Florida that scares people about this LSU defense.
