No offense, but you’re really not in a position to know. And depending on the type of hospital you’re at such patients may not even be routinely care for there anyway (generally they would be transferred to a major tertiary referral center and often an academic institution).
In 2017-2018 the flu killed 80k people, including 150 children and 20k people under age 40. In an average year it kills “only” 50k.

Id rather deal with the flu than get a shot.
