It decreases your chances of getting the flu at all by around 60%,

It is amazing people still believe this to be true after so many years. Why is our society so gullible?

Well..... what's in it?

Either three (trivalent) or four (quadrivalent) strains of inactivated flu virus (Most commonly H1N1 and H3N2 strains of flu A and one or two strains of flu B)

Egg proteins

Aluminum salts

Gelatin

Gentamicin or neomycin

Formaldehyde

If from a multi dose vial it will contain thimerosal, though most flu shots are given in pre dosed syringes or from single dose vials now and don’t have this

The aluminum salts and formaldehyde are presents in very small doses (you take in more aluminum from your food every day than you get in a lifetime of flu vaccines) orders of magnitude below any toxic dosing level.

I’ve never personally handed out a single opiate prescription and have gotten several dozen people off them.

There is a reason God gave us an immune system. Flu shot is bad, very bad. Don't put those chemicals in your body.

Flu shots are mandatory for anyone working in a healthcare setting for a reason.

Honest question.

ABSOLUTELY! Both of my grandfathers died in the bird flu epidemic (pandemic wasn't coined until much later) of 1918-19.

When it strikes home like that, the line forms behind you.

Don't tell me what to do!!!

By the way, last time I got a flu shot I got sick right after.

Maybe when I'm old, but not now.

I’m a consultant (not the primary doctor caring for them), I saw two of them and the other was someone a colleague saw.

But once someone is that sick from the flu, they’re either going to get better or they aren’t. If they are declining despite being on a ventilator, high dose tamiflu and other supportive measures there’s really nothing you can do.

How overweight are we talking? Overweight makes a difference.

I need to find the exact source but they did a study on the DNA of sperm between a healthy and overweight person and they found that sperm from overweight folks was different from that of the same person at a normal weight.

you're going to get downvoted by the anti god people, but If young, healthy, normal people drop dead from a flu because they didn't get the shot or it hasn't been 2 weeks yet, then something is seriously wrong. Your immune system protects you from this, flu shots weaken your immune system, injecting you with chemicals that cause all sorts of deadly diseases and poison.

TLDR Flu shot = you will get flu, No flu shot = perfectly healthy

Then yeah you are seeing a very select group. Regardless, I agree with getting the shot.

I mean, my medical niche self selects for bad cases of the flu. When someone is dying from the flu, we get called because even most doctors assume something else infectious is going on. Sometimes that’s true (post flu bacterial pneumonia for instance) but sometimes the flu by itself really does wreck shop.

did these so-called healthy patients have kids and/or in professions that are hardly ever around others?

Did they die of a heart attack? If so, maybe due to a heart defect.

If from sepsis, maybe the care given sucked arse, which means you failed them.

PSA- Maybe your certification ain't worth the ink that's on it.
