Amazon sending me items I didn’t order

Anybody ever have Amazon send them things they didn’t order? Addressed to our name, correct address so nothing strange there. I check our prime account and these items aren’t there, checked our credit cards and nothing has been charged there. When I contacted Amazon and gave them the tracking number of the last package they said someone else sent it to us as a gift, but, not possible as the items have nothing to do with us. One was a tea kettle, 3 pack of women’s/kids compression pants, a car mount for a phone we didn’t have, charging cable, European plug charger kit and today a weather clock/temp thing. Amazon said due to security measures they couldn’t give me the name of the person ordering it for us and after a 30 minute chat said they would have someone higher up contact us, to which we just got another email saying if we had any questions to do an online chat. I asked them to notify the gifted and tell them to stop sending things, but, I think that answer from amazon was BS.
Anybody experience anything like this?

No, and if you aren't being charged, and Amazon is claiming it's a gift, why continue to argue with them.
Keep the shite and sell it on craigslist or ebay.

I had them send me a toy dinosaur last year instead of bags of Halloween Candy.

Ol' Jody sending items for his later use just a tad bit early.

I got a box of NFL team Starter brand hats one time. Like a dozen of them. And those things aren’t cheap. I notified Amazon and they said to keep them. Gave them to the neighborhood kids.

New neighbor that was moving in across the street. We called amazon and they said they fixed it and we could keep the items or throw them away. So we opened them... she was a trooper when she came to pick up the following.
Hanging dog guide wire (metal wire coated in plastic)
Sandals
Manscaped lawnmower
Money gun
Sex swing.

Was sent an oxygen tank, one of those new fancy leg crutches, and a wheelchair in 2 straight weeks.
All sent to my name.
So confused. I asked them they said they weren't sure, ask neighbors. Keep it.
I asked my neighbors, nope. Sold it on Craigslist and donated half to charity. Figured I could do some good from it.

I have had this happen once we got an iPhone charger and something else I can't remember (because we had zero use for it). I contacted Amazon and was just told to keep it, I didn't dig further and the didn't offer a reason while I thought it was odd since we had not made an order in a couple of weeks it didn't concern me since we weren't charged.

Yes, lots of people
The seller sends their own products to people's addresses and then fakes reviews under that transaction
They hope to bump up their products' ratings to 5-star to gain more sales, so sending the free shite was worth it

This actually makes the most sense.

All fun and games until your name shows up as reviewing the 16” black mega-strap on.

It’s Chinese sellers sending random people (you) shite after “purchasing” the item (from themselves) so then they can leave a “verified” 5 star review for it
It’s the new thing since Amazon has clamped down on fake reviews (and especially reviews that aren’t verified with an actual purchase behind it)

While I thought that may have been the case it was not for me, well at least there is no review of the items under my account. You can check this on your account by clicking on your account under "Accounts and Lists" at the top left of any Amazon page (non-mobile) and then click "Your Amazon Profile" under "Ordering and Shopping Preferences". You can then see all your accounts reviews.

Last fall we got a crap ton of Washington Redskins gear sent to our house from WalMart. Jersey, hat, banner, shoe bag, etc. probably a couple hundred In stuff. We called Walmart and they had no idea.
My kids youth minister is from Virginia and a Redskins fan so I gave it all to his son.

It’s a stolen credit card and they are using your address as a test run. My guess anyways.
I also just saw the link to brushing. Jesus Christ. Sounds like that’s what happened to OP.
