I know the angle on this thing, but I think it gets to the point where it’s voter apathy against versus people tired of getting the screws by EBR and the pendulum will swing in the direction of the new ISD because EBR has no legitimate reason not to allow it other than screaming and crying about “it not being fair” with no substance behind it.

Neighborhoods in st George that borders EBR and seemed out help in annexing back into EBR. I predict when all said st George is only 1/4 the size it was at time of the vote. People didn’t vote but they want nothing to do with st George so they are looking for permanent options instead of worrying about having to vote every other year

There was that business report article (I think) that showed support for SG increased the further south you got. It was based on voter turnout by precinct but didn't include early votes. This means my wife's and my vote weren't reflected among thousands of others. Talking with folks around my neighborhood (Jefferson Terrace), support for St George is overwhelming.

Seems like, one week later, the Advocate and WBRZ are still pushing the negative propaganda about SG. I’ve seen a negative or pessimistic story every single day from both groups since last Saturday.
Yet another election where they just can’t accept the results.

There are going to be very very few residential areas where a majority of registered voters petition to be annexed into BR.

Commercial areas are a different story.

Has there been any response to this from Cormier, One BTR, Better Together? I bet it’s awfully silent when this comes up.

She's "checking with City-Parish officials."

ETA: She might as well admit they will be paying the additional mils. If anyone thinks the city won't charge those taxes (and more) once the StG money is gone, they are incompetent morons.

Truthfully. That St. George left them outside of the borders in the second incorporation attempt because they showed opposition to the incorporation.

If the city goes well, maybe. I don't see them being interested any time soon though considering they were annexed into BR after the first attempt.
