I like when Atchafalaya had their chicken and andouille

I think they change up the gumbo on the menu pretty often though

Not trying to hijack this thread but it's in the name and it's been in business for a while in not an ideal location.

Has anyone ever tried Chef Ron's Gumbo Stop?

I have never been and don't know anyone who has gone.

I haven't tried everybody's but I've tried a bunch of 'em and Cafe Amelie is my favorite.

Some of the better gumbo I've had as of late has been at DTB, High Hat, Mr. B's, Gris-Gris

A lot of good options in this thread

I'm not a huge fan of Mr. B's or Palace cafe, tasted burnt, but that's me. Everyone else I know really enjoys their gumbo.

Bon Ton Cafe, Clancy's, Appoline and the Grill Room at Windsor Court are other solid options as well.

I've had the chicken and andouille gumbo there and it's excellent!
